We asked him if he wanted to continue and do real work and he elected to quit and return the $1000 deposit. He is since then evaporated, never to be seen or reachable. Avoid the hassle of a lawsuit. "Very disappointed. This guy is a crook. I paid way too much for what he did and he did not do the work properly. He replaced pipes that were leaking from our upstairs shower. I had another leak a few weeks after he did the repair. 2nd leak was not related to the pipes he repaired, but the 2nd plumber who came out for the 2nd leak had to cut into the ceiling where HK&S Plumbing replaced the pipes and told me that the work was not done properly. He did not glue the pipes properly and he used a rubber coupling that is not allowed in California. The other plumbing company said they would fix his work for 65% less than what I paid HK&S. When I asked HK&S about all this, he gave excuses about the small space and how much more work it would have been to do the work the right way. When I asked him again for a refund, he is now saying his work will last "forever" (really?) and has nothing to say about what he did wrong. He is not giving me a refund. Not sure I will use anyone thru Angi again."

I am giving three stars because they estimated the cost to be almost 250% higher than what the actual cost was to fix the issue. I am sure there are customers out there that would just accept any bid however, please get multiple beds for these projects, especially when working with this company as they will inflate the cost to take advantage of the situation. I ended up only paying for the $79 estimate."
