Not only did Johnny clear the drain (I had tried on my own without success), but he looked at another toilet, recently installed by another plumber, that was making an unusual noise and gave us advice. He also checked our water pressure. Very nice person and would definitely use again.

Understood and solved puzzling issues. Explained everything and offered options. Indicated issues to be addressed by other trades. Worked quickly and quietly. Left the jobsite clean.

Johnny was great he arranged a leak detected to come out. He also completed work needed in a timely manor,I decided to replace our hot water heater while I was at it. He did a great job on leak and also on replacement of water heater and would recommend him for any plumbing issue.

Johnny rocks! He repiped my entire 82 year old house in Richmond. He had a crew of 4 plumbers on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Finished this massive job in 2 days! He is so knowledgeable, courteous, honest and completely trustworthy. I am thrilled with my new beautiful copper pipes. And the water pressure I now have! Who knew?!!!

Johnny contacted me and set up a time the same day and called to let me know he was on his way. Excellent work, my sewer was clear within 30 minutes and his fee was very reasonable. We recommend him, he was prepared with the proper equipment and did a great job, very neat and clean.

Reliable, knowledgeable, enthusiasic!

I've run a property management company for 10 years. Had guests from out of town, clogged toilets, and an atypical 175 ft long sewer line. I was in a pinch and my regular plumber wasn't available. Hired Ace Star through HomeAdvisor after the first franchise plumber I had out didn't have a long enough snake and then tried to charge me an exorbitant fee for some hydro service to clear the line. No thank you. Johnny was great. Called right away to schedule. Showed up on time. Had the right equipment. Did the job. Didn't make a mess in my yard. Charged a fair price. That's all you can ask for. I'll call him again.

I needed my kitchen double sink cleared of a drain clog ASAP on a Sunday. Johnny T called and stated he would be at my home within the hour. Johnny T arrived at my home and completed the job within a short period of time. I was impressed by his neatness and knowledge. (covered the inside cabinet and the floor to prevent water spillage). I would definitely use him again.

AceStar Plumbing was very communicative and gave me great advice on my washer/dryer plumbing situation. You certainly get the feel that they will do what is best for you and are not trying to upsell you. I would definitely contact them for any of my plumbing needs! Highly recommended.

I would've given Acestar 5 stars but when they came to repair my toilet, they only repaired what I initially thought was the problem and did not give me insight on resolving the total problem. Is that their responsibility?, not necessarily one might say, but, if they knew my toilet had other problems that they could definitely fix, I would've hired them to complete it. That would've been more money for them! Hours after Acestar left from fixing the initial problem, I contacted them about the toilet continuing to run. Acestar immediately knew what was wrong because they observed it while fixing the iLife earlier in the day. They gave me an estimate of double what I finally got the toilet repaired for. All in all, I would recommend Acestar but hiring them may mean overspending and wasted time.

Great experience. The quickest turn-around time I ever had with a contractor. From me posting on Home-Advisor to having the job done only 2 days passed. Very recommended! And obviously, the job was done to my full satisfaction.

AceStar Plumbing arrived on a Saturday morning, earlier than the agreed time. Even though my water heater is difficult to reach, and even more difficult to carry a bulky, heavy water heater down the outside of my house to install, they got in quickly, and before I knew it my new water heater was installed and I had hot water again. Really nice, thorough, and efficient plumbers. I had another little plumbing job, replacing a kitchen faucet, and Johnny Thoummavang returned the next day, a Sunday, and installed my new faucet quickly and efficiently. AceStar was in the higher price range for installing a water heater, but they came promptly, and they came on a weekend. YOU CAN'T ASK FOR BETTER SERVICE! My only two suggestions for customers are one, be home early to wait for the plumbers to arrive, and two, make sure their ability to accept a credit card is working that day so you can charge it. This happened to my husband & me, and luckily it was not a problem for me to write them a check. However, when my husband and I were younger, with small children and only one income, I wouldn't have had that much extra money in my checking account to pay for this emergency. So, if you rely on credit to pay for emergencies, check if AceStar can take your credit card, before they come that day and definitely before they start the job. THEY'RE GREAT, and they're the only plumbing company I've ever put in my Evernotes and my phone contacts to call again should I need a plumber!
