Customers say: Quick response

"Danny did an outstanding job on replacing our septic system. We weren’t looking forward to having it done, however Danny made this process very easy for us. Danny did flawless work and had it done a lot sooner than we expected. He took the time to explain the process of replacing the septic system, answered all our questions and addressed any concerns we had. Danny not only does tremendous work, but he is an honest and good guy. I would recommend him for sure if you need to hire a contractor for some work."

"Alan and Giovanni did a great job with quick installation. Reasonable pricing for the job and didn't add in a lot of extra work that wasn't really required (as we have had other contractors do)."

"Our landscaping in Menlo Park needed a complete refresh. The team replaced thirsty plants with drought-tolerant options that still provide plenty of color and curb appeal. We're using much less water without sacrificing appearance."

"My elderly mother had a blocked drain line, and she hired a different rooter service to fix it. The contractor said her septic tank needed to be pumped out - after pumping, he said the septic tank was cracked needed to be replaced at a cost of $38,000!! He then proceeded to dig up the back yard. As soon as I learned about this, I fired the contractor and contacted Martin - he came to the house in a couple of hours and inspected the tank and system. There was nothing wrong with the tank - he repaired some broken lines, replaced a line, got the tank back on line and backfilled the yard for $2500. Very nice to work with a pro and I would definitely recommend him."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Your drain field or leach field should be 1 to 3 feet under the ground. It will be a little shallower than the septic tank, although it can be the same depth or slightly deeper. The proper depth of the septic tank is up to 4 feet. It’s possible that your local regulatory agency requires a certain depth for your drain field.

Yes, it is possible to drill a well by hand, but it calls for a good deal of physical labor. Drilling a well by hand is best suited for softer soil, and it may not be possible through rockier terrain. For wider and deeper holes, companies with professional equipment make the job much easier.

Leach lines are commonly made of PVC pipe, and they’re placed into trenches filled with gravel and sand, which help treat the wastewater. The PVC pipes are perforated, or drilled with small holes, so the wastewater can drain out of the pipes and into the surrounding material, which eventually leads to the aquifer.

With proper maintenance, most types of septic systems—including mound, evapotranspiration, and constructed wetland systems—can last up to 40 years. To keep your system running as long as possible, follow basic septic tank upkeep guidelines, like pumping your septic tank every three to five years and only flushing human waste and toilet paper.

A well pressure tank is located between the well and the well pump, and it stores your water under pressure so that the well pump can eventually do its job. The well pump is activated whenever you turn a faucet on—it pulls the water from the tank into your home. Both are vital parts of a complete well water system.
