Dan did a great job for us. He is very pleasant and very competent. He completed the job sooner than he had first estimated. He explained everything that he was doing. I would use him again and recommend him.

The project was done much quicker than I thought possible and Dan and crew were always there when they said they would be. I can't recommend them enough. From demolition to completion, working with Dan Kies of Affordable Construction was a great experience. He took on our extensive and complex back yard project with confidence, creativity, and skill. Dan is, in a word, dependable. This project started with the demolition and removal of an old wood deck, pergola, retaining wall, planter boxes, and hot tub. The end result is a beautiful Alan block retaining wall, two sets of stone stairs with handrails, a concrete patio with electrical hook-up for the new spa, an aluminum pergola with a solid roof, and, as an added bonus, an expansive Alan block planting bed. Dan has a positive, solutions-oriented attitude that cannot be beaten. His workers were all polite and hardworking. I would highly recommend Affordable Construction for your project!

Danny did an outstanding job on replacing our septic system. We weren’t looking forward to having it done, however Danny made this process very easy for us. Danny did flawless work and had it done a lot sooner than we expected. He took the time to explain the process of replacing the septic system, answered all our questions and addressed any concerns we had. Danny not only does tremendous work, but he is an honest and good guy. I would recommend him for sure if you need to hire a contractor for some work.

Dan and his guys did and excellent job on my driveway addition and he also installed an RV gate for me as well. Dan went above and beyond what I expected. Dan kept me informed throughout the project and got back to me with any questions that I had in a prompt manner. I would use Dan again and I will refer him to anyone looking for concrete work.

Daniel Kies is a man of integrity, great skill, professionalism, and has a great deal of personal warmth and sincere caring for his customers. We were slammed with a costly septic repair issue and, fortunately, we found Dan who did an excellent job in a timely, conscientious, and very fair-priced manner. Also, he took a great deal of time to educate us about our system, and most importantly, how to care for it to extend it's life and prevent future issues - he's not just out for the almighty dollar - we can't recommend him highly enough!

Dan Kies, the owner, does all the work himself. I am a real estate attorney/developer and have very high standards for my vendors. Dan passed them all. He spent an inordinate amount of time with me discussing my project and all the options for a new septic system, and his price was significantly lower than other bidders. The job was done on time and he took photos of the systems installed so I could understand exactly how my underground system worked. When it came time to sell the property, he took the time to explain the system to the new buyers so they had confidence in his work. During the sale of the property, I again contacted him regarding installing an RV hookup into the existing septic system. This was on a weekend when my buyers were going to cancel the sale if the hookup was not provided. Understanding the gravity of the situation, he spent several hours analyzing the situation on Saturday, then on Sunday emailed me back and forth for another several hours. The end result was that we uncovered an existing RV hookup without his help and he refused to allow me to pay him for his time. This is a quality man who provides ethical, excellent service. He was there as scheduled and did a great job for us

Dan was always on time and did exactly what he said he would do, beginning with the bidding process and continuing through to the cleanup. He did an excellent job in two days, that most other contractors said would take a week.That's a huge difference when you cannot use your driveway. Dan also went above and beyond by leveling the dirt next to the driveway area (on a hill) and always making sure we were involved in the decision making and the process in general. He is a great person to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have cement or construction work accomplished.

Dan laid a concrete pad for a shed. He excavated and leveled the site, framed, rebarred , poured and finished work in a timely manner. His costs were fair and he was extremely courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend him or use him again.

Dan was awesome! Not only was his estimate reasonable, it was almost $3000.00 lower than the highest bid that we got. He communicated with us before, during and after the installation. He was on time, was careful around existing planters and pathways. This job was not an easy one. The old septic was 60 years old and tucked right up against the house. It required a 26' trench that had to be dug by hand as no piece of equipment would fit. At the end of the job, he moved two tree stumps for us and regraded the dirt road, just because the tractor was already here. Service above and beyond! We would highly recommend him!
