"Chris and his team arrived with a flat bed truck and went to work after walking the job and providing a quote that I found reasonable.  In the end; the flat bed truck was completely filled to the top,  and side yard was completly clear of yard debris.  All in all, Silverback hauling removed approximately 4 - 5 dumpster loads in a matter of 2 hours and removed the last 16 feet of old redwood fence.  Note: For me to haul the debris away it would have taken me approximately 20 or so runs to the dump, gas and the entire day.
I would recommend Silverback Hauling and Demolition to any of my friends, neighbors and anyone.  Chris, thank you for your time and providing updates via phone calls.

"Tom Dandy met with us to discuss the project.  He was thorough in his assessment and was the only bidder to propose a french drain at the base of the retaining wall, a feature that we felt was important. His bid was not the lowest but it was quite competitive and we felt confident that his group offered the best quaility at reasonable cost.  After discussing several options with Tom, we upgraded the wall specification from plain, concrete block to a more decorative block (Country Manor from RCP).  Tom adjusted his proposal accordingly and again we felt comfortable with the cost of the revised project.  He also made some great recommendations for the steps at the end of the wall.  We signed off on the proposal and his two-man crew began work within a few days.
The workers were skilled and worked tirelessly.  They showed up on time and performed their tasks professionally.  Nothing seemed to daunt them, not even the numerous (and massive!) rocks they encountered in excavating the footer for the wall.  Not only did they complete a beautiful retaining wall on-time and on-budget, they also designed a great looking stairway that far exceeded our expectations.  We are very pleased with the results.  We look forward to working with Dandy Landscape in the future for additional projects involving patio covers and outdoor lighting. 
In brief, we found Tom Dandy and his company to be competent professionals who produced excellent results.  Tom is very easy to work with and we recommend him highly.

He was also able to locate better 40yd dumpster deals then the local waste management company. He then followed up with completing the security fence repairs. "I was in a bad relationship with my former landscaper who left our backyard a total nightmare. Multiple landscaping companies came out and ran the other way after seeing the mess our former landscaper created. We were a total mess! California Smartscape came in, and from the first meeting I just had a really good feeling about them. Jay and Jesse came in for the inital quote, and Leo was the project manager for the duration of our project. They were prompt, responsive, professional, and above all - KIND. Just really, REALLY good people. They got to work right away and completed everything in the time frame they gave us. Throughout the whole process, I was in the know of what area would be tackled next, what materials would be brought in, who would be working on what... each week the communication was clear on what would be done. They have this business down like a well oiled machine, and always answered any questions I had in a prompt manner. Leo had the best attitude coming into work. He is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and easy going... even when there were some unexpected challenges (left by my former landscaper). He was like a friggin' detective, figuring out our old plumbing/electric lines, and combing through our old plan to make sure our new yard would be perfect. WE LOVE LEO!! We're about a year in, and everything has held up perfectly. The guys installed a drip system for our plants, and we use less water now, but our trees are twice as tall as our neighbors who started their landscaping way before we did. Seriously, they have everything figured out to the tee. We're so thankful they decided to take us on despite the challenges... now we have so many neighbors asking who did our yard - I still can't believe they were able to turn the mess around into a perfect backyard getaway."

"I don't use contractors much because I do most of my repairs and construction. But after my 30,000 gallon pool started dropping 3 inches of water a day after spending about $10,000 in various repairs over the past 5 years on it, I decided to have it demolished, a task that was way out of my scope. After meeting with 4 other contractors, I chose Transcend because John came off as a straight shooter and just a nice guy. Their bid was the lowest which was almost 70% lower than the highest bid. I told John what my plan was for the backfill area, a garden oasis with trees. He assured me, and even set aside before the start, that he would obtain "good" dirt and not construction backfill​ dirt. After work, I would stop by the property and check on progress. They worked efficient and effective as there was no damage to any of the structures on my property. The biggest factor though of me writing this review, as I don't write often, is these guys' integrity​. As the project got delayed 2 days because of rain I knew these guys were behind schedule and that they had another job lined up. Nonetheless, while I was at work, they rejected a load of dirt that was dropped off in front of the property and made the truck come back and pick it up as it was full of sand and gravel unsuitable for planting. This, and procuring better dirt, cost them an additional day but spoke volumes to their integrity and client's best interest. With no reservations, I recommend these guys and not for just their affordability, but great workmanship and a pleasure to work with."
