We chose to have CK quote us a cost for all labor as listed in "services performed". ($15,000.00 was the total labor cost.) He always reviewed our selections before we made a purchase to ensure that it would work in the space, avoiding returns thus saving time and money. John waited until most of the materials were on site before starting demolition. During the install, he constantly checked and rechecked work. He even tested the bathtub functionality before it was installed! By choice, we were hands-on clients and this was respected. Open communication was encouraged, invaluable during the install. Phone calls and texts were answered within a timely manner. We did not have one day of install downtime unless it was by our request. "Jacques was great to work with and his knowledge and workmanship was excellent. He showed us various cabinet door catalogs to help with our decision, and he was totally willing to custom-mix the wood stain color we had in mind. His sub-contractors (plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile) were all very professional and clean and all had been working with Jacques for 10-15 years each. As for the budget, we had a dollar amount in mind, and his was in the right neighborhood. There were several add-ons we requested after the work began, which he accommodated without issue. Jacques responded to calls or texts very promptly. We were told each bathroom would take 5-7 weeks, and for the most part, that was true. There were minor delays here and there, and we did start the work late in the year near the holidays, but it all worked out fine. Like any job, especially on an old house, there are unforeseen costs that will come up which will take you over budget. This cannot be blamed on anyone. My only complaint would be that he could have communicated a little better on dates and times when workers would be showing up. We frequently found out the night before what would be happening the next day. But the end product was excellent and we are extremely happy. Total cost: $20000 Remodel master bathroom: Remove double-sink vanity and toilet. Completely remove 3ft x 3ft shower stall, curb, and shower pan. Bump out one wall of the shower stall to allow for a bench. Raise ceiling in shower stall to match the rest of the bathroom ceiling. Build new custom double-sink vanity. "When my wife and I decided to pull the pin and start modernizing the kitchen, downstairs bath and laundry room, one key element was already a given - which contractor to use - USA Home Remodeling did such a fantastic job on our master bath (and two other upstairs bathrooms), we didn't even think about putting this out for bids. We worked with Isaac once again on design plans, including replacing about 85% of the kitchen. We wanted to retain the center island look (see pics), but definitely wanted a clean, modern look. We ended up with quartz countertops everywhere, with new cabinetry in the kitchen and bath, new sinks in all three rooms, and a new shower, replacing a tile shower that felt like 1970 all over again (actually, the entire downstairs bathroom fit that genre). We also replaced the original cooktop with a Wolf - what a fantastic upgrade! USA Home Remodeling handled all the related logistics. "As new house owners, (we previously lived in a one bedroom apartment in NYC) my wife and I wanted to replace the flooring and paint our entire house. We inquired with a few different companies, one of which was Ameriproj. Matt came over a few times (as we kept changing our minds on what we wanted) and gave us multiple quotes for the different things we wanted to do. He was extremely patient with us and answered all our questions in person, on phone calls and through texts. He was extremely responsive to us and that was a big reason why we ultimately decided to move forward with Matt. As part of our decision, we asked Matt why he didn't have many reviews on Angi’s List, and he mentioned he had started up fairly recently. The reviews he did have were great and we're really glad we went with Ameriproj. Matt is one of the friendliest and nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He was very helpful and professional every step of the way answering any questions we had, anytime we had them. He walked us through the process of picking different types of wood flooring, the type of paint and finish. He coordinated the flooring installation and painting team to come at the same time and work in different floors to make the entire job faster. Matt and his team were all very respectful as both my wife and I were working from home. He asked us before doing anything out of the ordinary to avoid crossing any boundaries. Matt gave us a lot of advice and pointed out many things to us even if it didn't benefit him. For a few things, he was able to help us (such as mounting a TV on the wall and installing a chandelier). The flooring team was super experienced and did the job in a day and a half. The painting took about 8 days to finish painting the entire house out of the 10 that he estimated for us at the beginning of the job. We had 2 floors, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, hallway, stairs, laundry room, walk in closet. They even worked on Labor Day just to finish the job faster. We also already had some furniture in the house, so the painters had to either move the furniture or paint around them. They finish painted the entire 2nd floor first before moving to the first so they can give us privacy which was nice, and they accommodated us wanting to paint our home office last so that we could work uninterrupted. The painters did not cut corners - they were very skilled and painted their butts off. Matt detail reviewed their work and pointed out things that needed to be fixed, which they did. They really took their time, meticulously painting between the drawers and behind obstacles, making sure every single part of the house was painted perfectly. Overall I had a great experience working with Matt and would definitely recommend Ameriproj to friends/family for future home renovation projects. Thank you Matt!"
