First, I will say that the work was done as requested; HOWEVER, I feel compelled to write because I feel completely taken to the cleaners for 1 hour of work. In fact, the plumber was here for less than an hour (even though the receipt indicates 76 minutes) and charged $468.35 for the minor rebuild, unjamming the disposal, and replacing the bathtub cap. I bought an Angie's deal where you get $300 worth of services for $200, so our total output was $368.35. The minor rebuild charge was $224.59, the disposal unjamming cost $150, and replacing the bathtub cap was $93.76. The last charge is what I mostly have a problem with because all the plumber did was go out to the truck and bring back a cap and popped it on the bathtub. I should have looked up how much such a part costs before going ahead with it. Every store I have looked online, it is a less than $10 part. I feel foolish for paying $93.76 for replacing the cap and shame on Long's for charging so much for less than an hour's worth of work.
