"Javier was a life saver!!! Called him panicked as I attempted to lay flooring in a bedroom with only 2 days before new furniture is to be delivered. Realized the first day of laying flooring that I was not gonna be able to complete before furniture delivery. Went on Angie requesting help installing my flooring. Javier answered my request and came the next morning and had the flooring and base boards installed in 1 1/2 hours. Looks beautiful. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the oven was higher than the counter about a quarter inch while the back of the oven is flush with the counter. Before the kitchen floor was replaced with laminates, the entire oven was flush with the counter, and the reason was the laminate was installed under the front legs of the oven where the floor was bare before that caused the oven front to be elevated."

If your floor is still sticky after mopping, chances are you used too much or too little of the cleaning solution. Using too little won’t get all of the grime off, but using too much can leave its own residue. Refer to the cleaning solution’s instructions and dilute it as directed.

Sometimes, it’s best to avoid putting flooring under cabinets or installing the cabinets first. Installing cabinets on top of the flooring can void the flooring warranty. This can be a costly problem, especially if accidental flooring damage occurs during installation. Also, it’s not a good idea to install cabinets over floating floors, such as laminate, that need room to expand and contract. Finally, avoiding installing flooring under kitchen cabinets is a more budget-friendly option as you will use fewer materials.

Plywood is the best type of subfloor for a mobile home, though if you’re installing flooring in a bathroom, you may want to install a vapor barrier or use a moisture-proof subfloor material like Amdry. OBS is similar, but it can swell when moisture is present. 

Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.

Installing carpet over carpet may affect the warranty of the new carpet. Check with the manufacturer or retailer regarding their warranty policies. Many warranties stipulate specific installation guidelines, and installing carpet over carpet may not comply with these requirements. Voiding the warranty due to improper installation methods can leave you without help in case of issues or defects with the new carpet.

If you’re doing a full bathroom remodel, the flooring will go in before the vanity and any other bathroom cabinetry. This will ensure that the same floor is present across your whole bathroom should you ever tear out your vanity and start again. 

If you can only budget for one or the other, you can still replace just the vanity in your bathroom. Just keep in mind that if you decide to replace your flooring later, you’ll need to tear out the vanity to avoid having mismatched floors.
