When I first met Bill, I explained to him that I had recently purchased a new home and was in the process of making some upgrades to my existing home so I could covert it to a rental. I didn't have any air conditioning so that was my priority but I was considering replacing the original furnace at the same time if the price made sense. However, I didn't want to invest in a high end system since I wasn't going to be living there myself. Bill quoted me a great price for the A/C and new furnace so it made financial sense to do them both at the same time. One of my other quotes was literally double for the same scope of work.
