"Having hosted the HGTV program “My House is Your House”, we’ve worked with and vetted many cabinet builders across San Diego and Southern California. I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming “care and maintenance” instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue—no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it’s unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they’ve made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said “The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect.” These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. We regret this purchase for our client and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers"

I had to have this done so that countertops could be installed the next day. Jose is a professional who is experienced, knowledgeable and efficient. "First off, we tried to find someone that could build a porch cover that would look like it was built with the house, and not just some cheesy looking after thought. It's really hard to find anyone willing to do any work these days. Ray and Don came out and we explained what we were looking for. They told me and my wife what their idea was for the cover, and said they'd email the estimate. A few days later we got the estimate, and honestly, it was a bit more than we were expecting. We had a few more estimates, some less money, but we just weren't comfortable with the contractors and their recommendations. About 2 weeks later, I called Ray again and asked if he'd be able to provide some form of a drawing or sketch of his idea so we could better understand what they were thinking of doing to our house. Ray said he had recently started using the Sketch Up app, and would be happy to come by and show us his drawing. That was very helpful, and was the reason we decided to go with Ray and Don. Once we signed our contract, the lumber and supplies were delivered 2 days later, and work began the same day. Don and Ray were here every morning by 8:00, and worked all day. Anytime they had a subcontractor scheduled, they made sure they were here on time, and supervised all aspects of the job. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the front porch area and made it look as if they hadn't even been there. With all the work done, it took about 2 weeks. Don and Ray were both extremely friendly, and made having the work done very easy. They were very conscientious about the fact that we were alway home, and if our dogs were in the backyard, they always made sure the gate was closed. I would definitely recommend Wishon Construction, and will probably be using them again in the near future for another patio cover project."
