Handyman repairs around the house. All work went as discussed, tradesmen came on time, we’re kind, courteous, and knew how to do the work they were asked to perform. They wore masks and booties all the time and were highly respectful of the Covid distancing. We would definitely hire again. It was a good experience

John showed up for the estimate when he said he would. He provided photos of the needed work plus the estimate the next day. The quote was very fair. The work was completed the following week. We are extremely happy with the professionalism of John and the superior work provided by his crew.

  • Professional Roofing and Solar
    5.0
The owner, John Houge, originally gave us an estimate of $15,000 to replace the old roof but mentioned that it could be more depending on any damage discovered once the two existing roofs were removed. He found rot/termite damage on a few rafters and plywood and fascia that needed to be replaced before they could install the new roof. Mr. Houge also suggested we have a pitch installed on the flat roof garage because previous repairs did not work and the garage would leak after a short time. With all the extra work and materials involved the price increased dramatically. After we got over the sticker shock Mr. Houge kept us apprised every step of the way. He is truly a professional and would not allow any substandard workmanship or materials done by fly-by-night repairman and would not continue with the roof until these inadequacies were properly addressed and up to code. From the first day on the job the workers showed up bright and early and worked until dusk.. They were courteous and respectful. . They always cleaned up after themselves and used magnets to make sure no nails were left in the yard.. We are very happy with our new roof

  • Eco Home Builders
    5.0
Eco Home Builders has recently completed our master bathroom renovation, luxury vinyl tile installation & kitchen and window installation led by Refael. As a first time home owner with lots of questions, Refael and his crew helped me in every aspect of the complete kitchen and bathroom remodel that I needed. They had a ton to fix. He was always available when needed, and the process could not have been smoother. Overall the remodel took about 3 weeks, including all demolition, inspections and finish work. This was a complete gut job where they replaced everything, including the old electrical wiring, new shower and countertops. Eco Home Builders epitomizes honesty, great customer service and efficient project management

  • Palm Construction
    1.0
My husband and I hired Palm Construction to replace our existing siding, prep and paint the trim, fascia and eaves, and paint all the stucco & Hardie siding with CoolLife paint. I am so mad at myself for choosing Palm when I already saw red flags from the sales guy Adam Sandberg who is a smooth talking high pressure salesman that also turned out to be a liar. First of all, the people who came to work on my house did not speak a word of English except for one guy who came to spray the stucco and he was only there one day. There was no project manager and my only contact was Adam the sales guy who never answered his phone and was always in a meeting. The use of Sherwin Williams paint was discussed from the beginning and used as a selling point for the job. We were told Palm is a premium contractor with premium workmanship and products and that "Sherwin Williams is the best paint. It was in the contract to use Sherwin Williams yet Adam personally ordered the paint from Home Depot and he ordered the cheapest grade Behr flat paint that HD sells. There is a huge difference between SW and Behr paint in both price and quality. They did zero prep work and I saw them spraying paint on dirt and spiderwebs. The siding looks terrible and does not even meet building code because the overlap is too short and they didn't follow the mfg requirements for clearances or installation. The CoolLife paint was also not applied properly and is bubbling and peeling off the stucco less than a month later, They broke tiles all over my roof and tried to get me to sign the completion form without saying a word about it. They left nails all over my yard. They didn't mount the porch light flush and they left an electrical box hanging off the wall and even missed painting behind it. They got the lender (Mosaic) to release payment for 12k before the job even started after I had already given them a 1k cash deposit so this was illegal for them to accept money from the bank. BTW-Mosaic is a horrible lender so please look into them and you will see their horrible reviews. They tried to tell me no one would notice their crappy overspray paint job and that the siding was fine until I wrote a review and filed a complaint with the CSLB. I found out from CSLB that they already have warnings and my case is now with an investigator along with another complaint that was filed right after mine. This company is a bunch of scammers that promise way more than they will deliver. Their actions were so egregious I think this was intentional fraud to sell me a high end product and then use the cheapest product. Please don't just look at their overall ratings on all the different review sites. Look at the bad reviews on all the sites and you will see that there is a common theme and everyone has the same complaint

  • TR Construction
    5.0
I really like the finished product. TR Construction seemed very eager to make me a happy customer and listened to my concerns. Room for improvement: I wish the estimate would have provided a more detailed description of the work to be performed. This would have potentially prevented an issue that came up 75% of the way through construction, when it was too late to remedy it. However, they provided some extra services for free to make it up to me, and I am satisfied with the resolution. I would just like to state that their exterior painter was really good; he did a great job of matching colors to existing colors on the house, and he had a good sense of what colors would look good when there were options to consider. The project supervisor had a lot of experience, but I am not sure how long he has worked for TR Construction. He could have been friendlier. Overall, I would seriously consider hiring TR Construction again, but I would also talk to other contractors as well

  • TR Construction

I highly recommend TR Construction. We are very happy with the look and color of the stucco. They did a beautiful job. We have gotten many compliments on the stucco work--in particular, from the window installer who has worked at many homes over his 50 year career! We were impressed with everyone we dealt with?Tony the owner, Teresa and Linda in the office, and Cramer who is a master at door installation and all the carpentry that was required. The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about all aspects of the project. TR Construction is a very well-run company. They communicated on a regular basis throughout the project so everyone was on the same page. They pay attention to detail and their workmanship is outstanding. Everything was always cleaned up nicely after their jobs were complete. We are glad we hired TR Construction and will definitely give them a call when we are ready for future projects

All work was very high quality. Work crew arrived on time each day and cleaned up the site each day before they left. Work was completed on time and on budget. Crew was respectful of all family members. It was a great experience. I highly recommend Classic Home Improvements to anyone in their service area. I have had them return in the following years to install new doors, move my water heater outside so that I could have more storage inside the house. Every service they have performed has been excellent work

Average cost of siding a home

Expect to pay anything ranging from $2,900 to $44,000 for a home siding job. That’s a large range because plenty of factors go into deciding the price of any house siding work.

Generally, the two most important factors in the expense of a home siding project are the size of the home and the kind of siding you want. Vinyl siding costs around $2 to $3 per square foot, and aluminum siding usually costs more like $3 to $4 per square foot. Brick siding can cost you $3 to $10 per square foot. Stone veneer is even more expensive, running about $8 to $11 per square foot on average.

If the pro you choose has to do extra prep work, such as replacing damaged boards or infrastructure before starting the siding, the price is typically more. The same is true for more complex projects, such as working with siding on eaves or multiple-story houses that require contractors to set up scaffolding.

Sometimes, siding costs aren’t straightforward. Talking to a professional in your area—or multiple professionals—to get estimates on your job is the right way to get a feel for how much siding for your house could cost.

Use these these suggestions when contracting a neighborhood siding company

Hiring a trained company is important for property owners who need siding hung. A good business can make sure you get satisfactory outcomes from your siding project. Prior to signing on the dotted line with a neighborhood siding contractor, be sure to factor in the following.

  • Find out whether your contractor needs—and holds—a license. License mandates for siding contractors vary by region. Ensure any neighborhood business you employ holds the correct license to safeguard your legal and financial interests.
  • Question about insurance. Insurance coverage is one more important protection. Ask for evidence of insurance from your siding company so you know the both of you are covered should something happen during the job.
