"Michael was knowledgeable and very informative. The installers were competent, outstanding, and courteous. Aire Care’s bid was more budget friendly compared to other major local companies. The crew promised to get installation done in 2.5 days but completed the work in 2 days with an additional install. All in all, we would go with AireCare Heating and Air any day. We highly recommend AireCare Heating and Air."

"Sean was great about repairing my disconnected dryer air duct having to go into the crawl space and figure out what was going on. I'm glad he was able to get it done very quickly as well. He also had a very good attitude about doing the work."

"We had our tankless water heater drained - annual maintenance. They show up when they say they will and do it right the first time. In the past we've had issues with AC's, plumbing and more. Evey time they've exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend them for any heating, AC or plumbing. We've used them for well over 20 years and wouldn't want anyone else. They are the best."

"Chris came by for a normal AC tuneup and as he was finishing up, we told him about some issues with our dishwasher and master bathroom sink and asked if he knew a plumber. He took care of both our problems right then and there! I’m not sure there’s anything he can’t fix. Chris is our go to guy for EVERYTHING ac/furnace/plumbing and he should be yours too!"

Small jobs welcome

"Checked on home adviser for AC repair. They referred my request to Josh at all day heating & repair. Josh call me within 1/2 hour. Explained my problem and he said he could come in 2 days ( this was in the middle of of a month long heat wave were everyone else was saying 2 to 3 weeks response time). We set a time for the appointment, he called 15 minutes before arriving, After arriving he quickly checked everything out and repaired the problem and even installed a safety switch to keep the same problem from happening again. Josh was very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone needing ac help."

Customers say: True professional

"Josh was able to help us out less than 24 hours after I called. We had no AC and it was very hot in our home. He called ahead of his scheduled visit and was able to arrive earlier. He was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We discussed future work replacing equipment and will definitely contact Josh to do the job."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

It is normal for the attic to be hotter than the rest of the house in the summer, but only by about 10 or 20 degrees. Attics that aren’t properly insulated or ventilated can reach temperatures of 130 degrees or more which can cause damage to the home’s structure, including the roof, wood framing, and HVAC system.

Not if you have a standard unit. Because portable AC units actually work to dehumidify the room, you’ll likely need to drain the unit from time to time—but you won’t have to put water into it. There is, however, another type of air conditioner called a swamp cooler that requires water to operate. If you have a swamp cooler, you may need to fill a reservoir with water and potentially ice. But a swamp cooler is different from a standard portable AC unit.

No, for two very important reasons. First, it’s illegal to release refrigerant into the air or ground since it can be toxic and cause environmental damage. Technicians typically pump old or extra refrigerant into separate tanks for special disposal. Second, without professional equipment to read refrigerant pressure and levels, plus the AC’s suggested requirements, it’s impossible to know if you’ve removed the right amount of refrigerant. Stay away from a DIY solution here and seek an expert with the right tools.

In some cases, yes, portable air conditioners are worth buying. They’re a relatively affordable option for cooling small spaces. (On average, they cost between $100 and $500 per unit.) Plus, they’re easy to set up, and you can move them around to cool various parts of your home as needed. However, they aren’t the most efficient AC option, and they tend to be noisy.

Modern AC leak sealants work as a temporary measure to stop refrigerant leaks. You can purchase them at most home improvement stores or on online. When using an AC leak sealant, keep in mind that it’s only a temporary solution, so you’ll still need to hire a pro to install a replacement part as soon as possible.
