"I guess they did ok for the price because this was an Angie's List special deal. They went in the attic to evaluate the AC unit and check that everything was functioning ok, but they didn't open up the unit (which I guess they wouldn't do for $39). They said everything is working fine. The problem is when I had someone open the unit, they found severe mold all throughout. So it seems to me if you're going to have your AC "checked out", you would want to know that there is mold growing inside the unit!
