CT Allmon DevelopmentI had a problem at my vacation rental. John contacted me quickly when I posted my problem for quotes online. I had a failing septic. It was no longer draining. John came out and accessed the the situation and based on faulty drawings I supplied, he gave me an estimate for repair. I agreed to the figure. When he discovered that the drawings were wrong and he only had to dig up 5 feet (not 14) between the septic tank and the seep box he lowered his estimate. You can't ask for more honesty and fairness. He and his worker completed the job in less than 2 days. Hire him!- Bob G.

AAA Mike Counsil Plumbing and RooterJerry Biodo, from Mike's Plumbing arrived at 0900 on Sunday morning. He crawled under the house and checked how the water pipes were located to determine if they could be rerouted from the solar pipes. While he was under the house he also checked the septic lines and air conditioner lines. He went up on the roof next and checked where the water was coming from and if there was obvious damage to the roof. He counseled me to contact a Solar Company to have the solar unit removed and roof checked for water damage. As a temporary way to stop the leaking and still give me hot water he cut and capped the leaking pipes. He also checked but could not find a motor to the unit. He said he would be back to reroute the water lines to the water heater as soon as I get the solar units removed. It was a very hot day so I really appreciated Jerry's attitude and all the extra help and advice he gave me.- Nancy P S.

Quick Plumbing ServicesEverything was fine. They gave me a good tip and told me that I could use the city the next time for free if I have the same problem. That wasn't good for their business but that is what they told me.- Wendy G.

Alpha Plumbing & Rooter ServiceThe only problem we had and they fixed it and they were very conscientious about it, the driver hit back into a fence along our tennis court and then pulled a little bit and they came, rooter rooter came up and fixed it, so they were attentive to us and it was a difficult backing situation and I don't really blame them and they fixed it so in a way it's kind of a good sign because they were conscientious about it, they make a mistake they fixed it. They pump the septic tank pretty straight forward they pumped it out and drove away, he had to come back and do a second one.- WALTER S.

Allstar PlumbingSo I wake up one morning and the flush just wouldn’t flush.. like water would fill up but not flush. So I called All Star Plumbing and spoke to a Kevin who was very understanding considering I was irritated over this issue early in the morning.. he told me someone was already working in the area and would be able to come by in a couple hours.. on arrival the plumber told me the septic pipes were clogged and would take about an hour or so to find the issue and fix it.. about 20 minutes in he comes back to tell me the issue was bigger than expected and might take longer than expected I appreciated him following up with me on that. Compared to other places I called All Star gave me the best price quote from however I could describe my issue over the phone. On arrival Javier was very Respectful and Personable which was nice because I live on my own.. and True to the quote my bill was very reasonable.- Manvin G.

Delta Van Lines was a terrible experience. They are brokers and don't let them tell you differently. My sales person, Natalie, was quite nice until I started having problems. Then she would not return my calls. She promised me that they used their own trucks and drivers ( except upon rare occasion ) . Not true. My pick up was "Big Boy Moving." Four guys in which one was on the phone the entire time, one was skyping in the bedroom with the doors closed and the other two were working. The head guy immediately told me there would be an extra $300 for a long haul and $150 for a bulk shipment. I had told Natalie the elevator was right there next to the loading dock at my apartment. She said no problem, no long haul charge. The bulk charge, I never did understand and they really couldn't explain it . When I called Natalie while this guy was trying to collect this money, she said and I quote "Well I will never use them again.". She said she would call me back and that's the last I heard from her. I was stuck. I ended up calling Big Boy Movers and they had no answers either. Before the movers were done, they came right out and asked me for a tip. Of course I gave it to them, they had my stuff. But they literally asked me. This was the most unprofessional experience I have had moving. I have written an email to the manager Joshban Molina who has never responded. Natalie stopped communicating the minute she had my money. The only good thing that happened was that they were on time. I do not recommend this company at all. Besides the rudeness of the actual movers, there was no support from the company I had hired, Delta Van Lines. They could have cared less.

Recent Review:
Central Pacific Construction (Rick Carrasco and John Sanchez) bid on the foundation work for a set of city approved engineered plans for a second story addition to an existing single story house (bid $98,000). The work involved addition and reinforcement to an existing pier and grade beam foundation system. The plans required addition of 29 new 10' deep 16" wide piers and a new grade beam in many areas around the house. Most contractors I talked to required that most of the first story be demolished for installation of the new foundation system and new framing be installed for both the first and second story. Naively, I thought that a company specializing in foundation work might have better suggestions. John Sanchez of Central Pacific Constructions convinced me that there would be no need to move out of the house for the installation of the foundation elements and that they had special hydro-excavation technology to install piers in the interior of the house without demolishing any existing structures and tie it in to the existing foundation. They also convinced me that their work would pass all city inspections. Falling for the trap of hiring this company, I quickly realized that most of the first week there were a bunch of unskilled laborers digging dirt around my house and hauling it away.. There was no foreman supervising the process. It was clear in the first week while they were digging and exposing some foundation elements, that some existing piers were conflicting with the new piers required in the plans. The existing piers did not meet the requirements for the new piers. Instead of addressing this issue right away with me, they hid this from me and the following week they presented me with a new invoice ($11,000 on top of the $10,000 advance I had already paid them) for digging and hauling dirt away. The same day they also told me that they would not be able to do they hydro-excavation for installation of the piers and would be hand digging 10' deep piers in my crawl space (and no mention of what would happen in the perimeter area). This is when I talked to my soil engineer who told me that these piers cannot be installed by digging. They have to be drilled by augers which cannot be done in the crawl space without demolishing of existing floors in the house. He also told me that that before any excavation we should have scheduled an inspection with either the soil engineer or the city, which did not happen. Later I have also learnt that the engineered plans require a new grade beam system that cannot be installed without demolishing existing structures. In short, CPC, John Sanchez, Rick Carrasco have bid either fraudulently or incompetently for a project that they have no ability to complete. Yet, they came up with new and innovative ways of extracting progress payments out of me. I would advise folks to stay away from this company.

Our agent purchased this for us since we were buying a home with very old appliances. Our initial contact to set up the warranty was terrible, the customer service person couldn't get the details right and became impatient and argumentative when we tried to correct her to make sure it was set up correctly. A week later we decided to follow up and make sure it had gone through since we hadn't received the email confirmation. We were told our payment information didn't go through. Upon asking to confirm the plan, it was missing the vital components like the ROOF and pool equipment and FURNACE. Got that straightened out and paid for. A month later the furnace stopped working on a Friday. Called them at 5:30pm on a Friday, the furnace repair place they referred us to was already closed. BEWARE, these services can't be called on over the weekend. So, at 5:30pm on a Friday it was too late to get anyone out. Over the weekend, husband and brother reset some breakers and got it going again. We never heard from the furnace repair company or any follow up from Fidelity National Home Warranty. We were not charged thankfully. Dryer died yesterday on a Sunday, washer full of wet clothes of course. Giving them another shot since we have no choice, and will follow up with another review, but am not going to be surprised if we get a repeat bad performance.

Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Analy Septic (father) sent out West County Septic (son) -- and grandson worked the job too -- gotta love a family business that takes pride in what they do!
Eric West responded within an hour to my initial call and was at the house in less than another hour. He definitely knows his stuff! He predicted what the problem probably was (crazy huge soap clog), dug right down to the tank and found exactly that trapped in the inlet from house. He removed the concrete barrier that made the clog a problem, and he came back the very next day and installed a better version of inlet that won't let that kind of clog happen again. He also installed the proper risers on both sides of the tank the very next day. AND a "mushroom cap" valve on the cleanout, so that any backups in the future will happen OUTSIDE the house, rather than the downstairs sink.
In addition to all that, he expertly troubleshot the mystery of how and where our various septic tanks do (and don't) drain. We've been needing to figure that out for years. The few hours Eric was here (all the installation work was done in less than half a day) were invaluable to me for understanding the property. Couldn't be happier that I called Analy!
