"We hired LogicLamp to replace our old exterior pole lights with LEDs, and we?re so glad we did! The team was friendly, and professional, and took the time to explain the options. The new lights look fantastic?brighter, cleaner, and more energy-efficient. It?s made a noticeable difference in the look of our property and energy bills. We?re really happy with the whole process and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to make the switch to LED!"

"I don't know about you, but starting a remodeling job was very scary to me UNTIL I met MDH Buiders and David Mizrahi and his workers. From our first meeting he asured me (I'm a strong willed senior citizen) he would guide me and not let me make any mistakes. We had discussions until we came to an agreement as to what would be the best for me and my home, and he did not disappoint. My master bathroom turned out more beautiful than expected and was FINISHED on time, even with a couple hiccups of getting supplies along the way. Because of my wonderful experience with MDH Builders, I have decided to jump into remodeling again after the 1st of the year and redo my kitchen. Dianne E."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A weatherhead, the meter base, the breaker box, and a meter panel are all vital components of a working meter riser. If one part of the system is faulty, it could damage other parts, so consider having an electrician inspect the entire unit. The cost to replace the meter panel alone may cost $500 to $1,000, so consider this in your budget for replacing the meter riser.

While it’s not possible to put a main breaker in a main lug panel, it’s possible to convert a main lug to a main breaker. Converting to a main breaker panel offers increased safety, simplified control, compliance with building codes, and adaptation to changing electrical needs, especially when adding new circuits or upgrading the system.

Leaving lights on raises the electric bill, but not as much as having high-wattage light bulbs. The best way to save on electric costs is to swap your light bulbs to LED or CFL bulbs that use far fewer watts. You can also use smart lights and light switches to control usage via a smartphone or voice-controlled device.

An undersized whole-house generator has the potential to overheat and shut down when you try to run a central AC system. This scenario can not only damage the whole-house generator, but can also trip your home’s breakers or cause electrical damage. To avoid this situation, hire a local generator installer to correctly size your whole-house generator.

Single-pole light switches are the most common light switches on the market. Their simple features make them easy to install and use. For more powerful applications that require 30 or 40 amps, you may need to use a double-pole switch. Some homeowners may want multi-way switches like three-way or four-way switches to control a light fixture from opposing ends of the room.
