"Michael Ridgeway was wonderful to work with because he listened to how I wanted the gate to be finished so it would be structurally strong. I would hire him again without any question. Michaels helper that worked along with him worked very hard. I really appreciate their work ethics. Thank you so much Michael and Tommy! Sherie"

"Called to have kitchen sink faucet replaced. Faucet installed quick with friendly professional service. Before leaving I asked Taylor if he would look at a leak I had in front flower bed. He said sure no problem. He found that the main water line had a leak and water was flowing freely. He advised us of the severity of the leak and presented two options for repair. We opted to go with the complete replacement. Taylor then made a call and was quickly joined by Adam. They both got to work around mid afternoon and had the new water line replaced from the water main up to the house with new house shut off values and irrigation lines installed by staying on the job till around 8 PM, so that we would have water with no inconvenience. I would highly recommend Dependable Rooter and Plumbing!!! Very professional, friendly quick service. Techs very knowledgeable and willing to help. Job performed as promised and price quoted. Thank you Taylor and Adam!"

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

The most cost-effective foundation repair is using masonry patches and sealants to seal foundation cracks and offer some support to prevent further damage. These methods are used to fix minor foundation cracks quickly. However, they’re not suitable as a long-term solution, and they only offer minimal stability. On average, masonry patches and sealants cost $500, but a sealant like an epoxy crack injection can total over $2,000. If you’re handy and only looking for a temporary solution until you contact a local foundation repair contractor for a more permanent one, you can save hundreds by DIYing this repair.

Standing water under your house can threaten its structural integrity. If water pools in your crawl space, it can damage the foundation and the structure above ground, causing wood rot, mold, and other problems. If you have a concrete foundation, standing water under your house can also make your foundation slabs crack.

Costs depend on the area's size and condition, damage extent, and chosen method. A professional evaluation provides a tailored estimate based on specific needs.

Yes, you can finish a basement that leaks, as long as you address the leak first. Before finishing a basement, you’ll need to repair any cracks in the walls and waterproof the basement to prevent future leaks. It’s much harder to clean up a water leak from a finished basement than an unfinished one, so preemptively addressing any leaking areas prevents expensive repairs in the future.

If your basement often leaks after heavy rain, it’s probably caused by hydrostatic pressure. When the ground is saturated with water, it can put pressure on the exterior of your home’s foundation, causing cracks in the basement wall and pushing water through any existing weak spots. Over time, hydrostatic pressure can cause structural damage to your home.
