"Gray promised two days and two days it was. His men came installed, cleaned up, and did not damage a thing. They had challenges in removing two of our special sized old aluminum windows. They did it like a breeze. They even vacuumed every nook and corner and left no trails. They were patient, quiet, and polite. I am running out of good things to say. But don't think twice. Just hire them."

Customers say: True professional

"I have a beautiful view that was impaired by the screaming afternoon sun. Jaymi was professional and thorough in helping me decide tint levels. She treated 2 large windows and a sliding glass door in the family room...she gave my modest home a million dollar view! 😎🌄"

"Their service is really great. For my car window tinting they come and actually pick your car up and take it to the shop and come back and that is really good. It is just clean like I did my house windows too and they just were in and out rather quickly and it was great. They are so for so good. I would continue to use them."

"Gabriel and his partner were on time, super courteous, and very informative. They showed us how the window locks and built-in stops work and how easily the windows dissemble to clean. This was an excellent experience overall and I would hire Brothers again! The windows are gorgeous!!"

"Ivan, Sam & Victor Trust me when I say these three gentlemen comprising this team are true all stars. Professional, on time, expert, proficient, hard working & very neat. This would be the 2nd second property in the past 12 months weâ ve used Renewalâ s by Anderson for window and slider replacement along with the 2nd time we used this same installation team of (3) three: Ivan, Sam & Victor. Truth be told, we requested this team by name on our new home because of the fantastic job they had done on our previous property. We were so satisfied with their work and final product we decided the expense to complete another upgrade on our new house was well worth our investment. Bottom line more than satisfied with our Anderson products but more so with the professional team than was sent to remove the old hardware & install the new upgraded glass. Keep up the good work Anderson corporation."

"We recently hired Kristina and Jared to do a floor-to-ceiling
cleanup after having our home remodeled. With plenty of dirt, grime and sawdust
everywhere, and me being, admittedly, very picky about cleaning, it wasn't an
easy job. Based on the list I gave them, they decided to bring extra help, and
they worked away for at least half a day?floors, counters, bathrooms, windows,
carpets?I even asked them to clean the tracks of the sliding glass doors. They
did everything I asked efficiently, enthusiastically and with a smile. They
went out of their way to make sure I was completely satisfied with the job.
When I had concerns about some streaks remaining on the windows, they re-did
all the windows and glass doors. When I asked about a film that seem to remain
on the new flooring, Jared explained to me that he believed this was normal and
would take a few cleanings to dissipate. Nonetheless, he re-mopped the floors
again for me, just to be sure I was happy (I think they mopped them at least
three or four times!) Bottom line is, great job, great attitude, nice
people!

"To say that my experience with Renewal By Anderson has been phenomenal at literally every stage of the process would be an understatement. My wife and I did our research and had several window replacement companies over to our home to give their pitch, present their options, and provide their estimates. While impressive, none of them particularly stood out except when it came to price and minor amenities. Then we had RBA come in and, wow, the competition was blown *entirely* out of the water. RBA is the leader in the industry, bar none, and for all the right reasons. RBA was not the least expensive by any means, but for a major project like replacing 14 windows that range from small bathroom to 7 1/2foot wide by nearly 6feet tall livingroom window, we knew that this was as significant an investment as a room addition or kitchen remodel. We didn’t want the standard vinyl window sandwich swap out, we wanted what should have been installed in the first place, and RBA not only delivered on that promise, they exceeded every expectation. And one of the first signs that our experience going forward would be fantastic is that we were told it would take anywhere from 12-14weeks before the windows were manufactured/shipped and available for installation. RBA called to schedule the installation in less than half that time. And this is where I get to gush about our installers, Bebe & Ryan. Bebe & Ryan aren’t disinterested contractors, they are RBA employees who very much understand that they are the functional face of RBA and they take that very seriously. They were professional, efficient, courteous, and respectful. Actually, they were all that and more, they were also very friendly and cool, and they went far above and beyond the call of duty in every way. I literally cannot imagine how they could have done any better given how entirely delighted and blown away I am with the results of their efforts. They even managed to do the job in three days vice the four days that had been scheduled for our work, and they even identified several repairs/touch-ups that needed to be done and did them as a matter of professional courtesy. Keep in mind, they didn’t just remove glass and tear out vertical supports, they literally uninstalled the old windows down to the architectural structure, installed weather-proofing superior to what was originally in place, installed the new windows, then an additional layer of weather-proofing. These windows aren’t just a replacement, they are huge upgrades to the entire house. Bebe & Ryan are an awesome team and I highly recommend that they be specifically requested as your installation team. And given the fantastic warranty that is part of the whole RBA package, it’s likely that we may have to have additional work done (gardeners’ mower throws rock and cracks a window, full replacement fully covered) and if/when that happens we absolutely will specifically request Bebe & Ryan."

"We were very very pleased with Approved Contractor and would recommend them to everyone. They showed up as scheduled, ready to work and completed the job in a timely manner. They also cleaned up after themselves which was appreciated! Not only Mr. Charney, the general contractor, but also his workers communicated with us regularly and kept us up to date with how the job was progressing. Our satisfaction was very important to them. The windows are wonderful and we definitely noticed our house being cooler and the sliding glass door is awesome! The stucco and roof make such a wonderful difference in the appearance of our home."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Standard mirrors come in many different shapes, sizes, and thicknesses, so you can often find a great fit for your space without adding customizations. Custom mirrors are ideal if your space has very specific constraints. For instance, you may need a much longer or wider mirror than you can find in a standard mirror. You might also want a custom mirror if you have particular styling preferences, such as a frame with a specific finish or a unique edge.

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

Glass tile can cost as much as or more than other durable tile types. When choosing the right tile for you, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of each can help you make an informed decision. The pros and cons of glass tile include:

Pros

  • Light-reflecting to add brightness

  • Waterproof and mold-resistant

  • Made from recyclable materials

Cons

  • High cost compared to similar and more durable materials

  • Usually requires professional installation

  • More easily scratched compared to materials like ceramic and porcelain

Just how long it takes to install a wall mirror depends on the size of your wall, the type of mirror, the installation method, whether you decide to hire a professional, and the number of installers. For smaller walls with multiple trained professionals and acrylic mirror sheets, you can anticipate having your wall finished within an hour. Larger walls comprised of several custom mirrors can take upward of four hours to complete.

Whether it's better to repair or replace a broken mirror depends on its size, value, and the extent of the damage. For small, inexpensive mirrors, replacement is often the better choice, as the average repair cost of around $200 can be close to the price of a new one. However, for large mirrors—like those over a bathroom vanity or large floor mirrors—repair is usually more cost-effective. A new large mirror can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, while repairs typically range from $50 to $200. You should also consider the mirror's age and sentimental value. Antique mirrors and family heirlooms are often priceless and irreplaceable, making repair the most sensible or only option.
