"I had some landscaping done over the summer by a different contractor but one thing that was overlooked in the design was proper drainage once a travertine walkway was installed. Based on the impact of the last monsoon that hit the east valley, there was a substantial amount of standing water between our house foundation and the new walkway. I met with Ravi who basically engineered a drainage system/network to get water out of our yard and direct it onto the street. His crew showed up on time and installed a series of catch basins that were interconnected. They also did some repair on the travertine that had "collapsed" due to errosion from the monsoon. The Balance crew worked extremely fast and were done in 3 days (this includes the 1st day which was a site survey along with the lay-out of the underground work to be done). Great team and Ravi was a pleasure to work with in getting out drainage problem resolved. I highly recommend this company for your landscaping projects."

"We hired this company to excavate our empty lot in Laveen to install empty conduits and properly grade the property. They did an excellent job from start to finish. The crew was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable about the excavation process. They completed the trenching for the conduits efficiently and made sure everything was placed correctly. "Very Well. We can’t say enough about H-Bros excavating! When we approached Marcus to come bid on our job. We were impressed. He seemed to know what he was talking about and told us we would need a D6 or D8 cat to rip all the rocks from the area we wanted flattened. He said he could probably get it done with a D6 and quoted it for that. He ended up bringing a D8 which worked out great since it could rip the rocks a lot faster. To our delight we got done 2 days early. Marcus and team started the job on schedule, were on time each day and worked hard and long hours. They were very professional and very personable. They wanted to make sure that they did the job exactly how we wanted it done. Customer satisfaction was very important to them. "This is the second job that Paul White has done for us.  He has completed electric wiring for our laundry room and ran a wire for a future 220 outlet.

This time, I called Paul to finish running the 220 outlet because I have now purchased a wall air conditioner and it was getting hot outside.  Even though they had a truck problem, Paul contacted us and re-scheduled another time which was okay with us.  The crew came on Labor Day weekend and ran the wiring to our Arizona Room and installed a 220 outlet.

Paul and crew measured and cut a hole in the wall for installation of the new AC unit.  Everything was done exact and with precision.  They secured the AC unit and caulked it in place.  They were here 5 hours.  Paul and his crew were friendly and efficient.

Even though we had to wrap up the wire for the AC unit and put all the patio furniture back and vacuum up the dust, we thought they did a fantastic job!   We would hire them again.

"After looking over the reports on Angie's list, I decided to go with Thornton Plumbing based on reports. My husband called July 1, and received an apology that they would not be able to come out that same day-which we would not have expected! Service was set for the following day with a time frame from 9-10:00AM. We did not ask for an estimate of the job. Mike arrived right on time at 10:00. We introduced ourselves, and Mike went to work. I asked if there was anything we could do to assist, and when he opened the cabinet door below the sink and saw that it was cleared out, he said, "Nope, this makes me smile." Due to the hard water we have in Phoenix, there was a build up of water marks around the base of the old faucet. We have a Corian countertop that can be sanded with a fine grit of sand paper to remove the water spots. We did not have any of the needed sand paper, and Mike stated he would bring in a mesh sheet from his truck that could work. He did not have to do so, but removed the water spots (and crust) with Soft Scrub and the piece of mesh prior to installing the new faucet. The installation took approximately 40 minutes. When asked for any tips with maintenance, Mike suggested taking action at the first signs of a leak that could mean replacing only necessary internal parts rather than a whole faucet. It was also a plus having the $20 coupon offer from Thornton for the work performed."
