"Chris and his crew at Plumber Kings provided exceptional work. From the beginning of the project of installing a new sewer line and clean out, they guided me through the process and gave me piece of mind that the work would be done to my high expectations. With this job they had to dig up a trench and break into the concrete, but his crew not only performed professional quality work, theyâ re craftsman and do things the correct way. There are also not many plumbing companies that can do complete jobs like they didâ putting the front yard back to normal after the dig and doing concrete work to my carport. While working they kept the area clean and were super friendly and knowledgeable when I asked them several questions. They will be the first to call again if I need any plumbing work done."

"The work was excellent with strong attention to details. The crews arrived on time and made sure to not make a mess in the house. They removed the old cabinets, tub, toilet and tile. They built a shower with a glass door, laid new tile and installed new cabinets with a countertop."

"I was really upset when my toilets would not work. I picked Wood's mainly because they were close to my home.

The lady at the phone was very professional.

This was an excellent experience.

hey were at my home less than 0ne hour and the toilets now work perfect.

The young men that came in were polite, nice and explained the problem. There prices were fair and they did a geat job.

While they were hear, the Lady from the office called me and asked if they had arrived and if everything was going well.

I would use them again without questions and I would also recommend them to a friend or neighbor

"Josh arrived right on-time and was polite, professional and quick. He discovered an additional problem with each toilet, which we suspected. He was able to get both toilets in top shape. I am so glad we found a trustworthy plumber to call in the future. I highly recommend Josh and Leak Dr Plumbing."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

You should choose the type of toilet that meets your budget, fits properly in your space, and matches the rest of your decor. If you’ve never gone toilet shopping before, you might be surprised at how many options are available. Most homeowners choose a two-piece toilet, which is the industry standard, and a gravity flush system is the most common. However, dual-flush and low-flush toilets are becoming more prevalent as more people become conscious of water consumption.

Most codes require 15 inches on either side of the toilet's centerline (from the wall or vanity) and at least 21 to 24 inches between the toilet and the wall in front of it. These codes ensure that your toilet is easy to use and access, even in small bathrooms. Check your local building codes for the exact measurements required.

You definitely can over-tighten toilet tank bolts. Unlike some other materials, porcelain can’t bend or flex, so when you over-tighten a screw into it, it could break against the added pressure. Only tighten them as much as needed to keep them in place and firm; any more and you could risk breaking the porcelain.

It is safe to flush the toilet even if the pipes are frozen, and this may even help clear out the pipes. But if the supply line is frozen, the toilet won’t refill itself until it’s thawed out. You can still flush by pouring water into the tank to refill it.

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.
