"The home I recently purchased in Green Valley had an old water softener. When it began to malfunction, I contacted a few companies for service. Scott at Lifewater Solutions returned my call that evening and spent 45 minutes on the phone troubleshooting the water softener. Scott got the unit running, but it eventually died. Since I had such a positive experience with Lifewater Solutions, I decided to replace the water softener with their Vesta Clarifier unit, which filters and softens the water. The installation was seamlessly completed within days. My home water quality is excellent now, and I could not be happier. The staff at Lifewater Solutions is courteous, professional, and extremely competent. They clearly care about their customers. I highly recommend Lifewater Solutions, they are top notch!"

"A Most Fortuitous Meeting at Ace hardware to remove what turns out to be a fused water hose attached to the outdoor hose bib. We have a lovely home there in AZ that we rent out to mostly to Snowbirds wanting to escape their cold Eastern snow filled Winters. Jacob, Thanks ð for helping me with that stiff cruddy looking water hose there in the backyard. In the past had Attempted unsuccessfully to untwist by hand that water hose from the hose bib. This time was determined and wanting To get a better grip.. went and bought a pair of Ace wrenches to tackle the job MYSELF. I was determined to finally replace that unsightly mess with a new windup hose reel set-up before heading back home in CA. Thatâ s when I met Jacob a total stranger Standing in line overhearing my conversation who turns out to own a Plumbing Co. From that point decided to hire him to do the job. Talk about a God sent moment. Had we Not met at Ace, Iâ m sure Iâ d still be there in AZ right now : along with 2 stupid brand new wrenches in my hands, a panic ð ± look and a flooding house to show for all my effort. Initially using wrenches He tried to untwist the hose from the bib but concluded a new bib would be needed as the water hose was fused to the house bib. Thanks for removing the old water hose/ bib combination and soldering a new hose bib in its place. Jacob I truly ð thank you for saving the day that was gonna turn out ð © poorly and very costly. "I called several plumbing companies and all were way over priced. This company came and inspected my leak and quoted me a price that was a third or more cheaper than the other companies. They fixed my leak under my sink and didn't break my bank. Excellent service and I'm one picky person. Thank you Mr. Horton. You were absolutely amazing and professional. No BS, told me what I needed done and explained it in detail so not to confuse me. While the other companies tried adding more things as I explained to Mr. Horton. He told me right from the start, those things don't need to be done, just the elbow and a small portion of pipe needs to be replaced. Up front and honest."

"Our old water heater was leaking, and we knew it was the end of it's service. I called Rich, and discussed the situation, and that we wanted to go tankless with a new water heater. He answered my call on the first ring. He was knowledgeable and informative. He understood (with children) the need for running hot water in the house. The next day he arrived promptly at 8:30 AM with the water heater and all supplies. We had hot water again with a perfect install done in 3 hours. Price was fair and as quoted. Very friendly, professional and timely. I would recommend him to anyone."

"I wish I could give Aquaco more than 5 stars. Their service is outstanding. Glenn took the time to get to know me, my values and my needs before recommending a water softener that would be perfect for me. Brandon, who installed my water softener and RO was very friendly and knowledgeable and the owner Glenn came out personally twice to check on the system and make sure everything was top standard. I highly recommend Glenn and Aquaco and will be using them again in the future for any other Arizona houses I may purchase."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

A good hardness level for drinking water can vary based on personal preferences, but an ideal level is 3.5 to 7 GPG. This means your water isn’t soft or hard. However, some people prefer the “fresh” taste from the minerals in hard water, while others like the smoother, “slippery” texture of soft water.

To get utilities set up on a property, you first have to contact the local department of planning to determine whether your property is able to connect to public utilities. From there, you can work with a structural engineer and/or a building contractor to design the layout of utility lines on the property. The pros will need this information as they begin securing building permits before they can start adding lines.

If your property isn’t able to connect to public utilities, you’ll need to consider working with pros to develop a comfortable off-grid home that will meet your needs.

Water purifiers and water softeners serve different purposes, so the best one will depend on your particular needs. Water purifiers remove contaminants from water (such as bacteria, viruses, and chemicals), leaving you with ultra-clean and safe water. However, water softeners remove minerals from your water so that the water doesn’t leave stains around your house or cause plumbing problems.

If your ‘do isn’t doing what you want it to do despite using good hair care products, hard water might be to blame. Since hard water can’t rinse soap off as well as soft water can, your hair might grow limp because of the shampoo and conditioner residue that’s left behind. If you color your hair, you might see it fade more quickly or even turn a different shade as the dye reacts with the minerals in the water. You might also experience an itchy scalp, thanks to the dryness that comes from bathing in the hard water.

You can decide whether you need a water softener or water filter based on how your bathing or laundry experience is. If you notice issues like limescale buildup, dry skin, or stains on dishes—all telltale signs of hard water—you'd likely benefit from a water softener. However, if your main concern is over chemicals or bacteria in your tap water filter, and not just comfort, a filter is a better option.
