AI recommended Zest Plumbing & Drain. I was not disappointed. From my first contact with Diana the dispatcher to Wally the field supervisor my experience with Zest Plumbing was outstanding. The AHS plumber gave up (without trying very hard) on clearing my drain and recommended tearing out a vanity and the toilet to install new pipes because he said my CAST IRON pipes had collapsed...it was baloney! AHS calls this a "MODIFICATION" which is not covered by the warranty. Don't fall for this tactic! Wally from Zest brought in his equipment and 30 minutes later my drain was working properly. He even showed me a video of my clean drain. Before you start tearing out walls give Zest a call!"

"Rich was prompt and highly communicative in advance of the first appointment to make sure I understood my options to replace my water softener. Once there, he did an extremely professional job an cleaned up perfectly after the job. During the water softener install, I mentioned that I had a leaky spigot valve in the backyard. Rich cut off the old one and welded on a new one that is working great. He charged me a minimal fee for the addon work since he was already on site. Here's the kicker and why I'd highly recommend Rich to anyone. During the install he talked about how he would come back without issue if there were any questions or issues. Well a couple weeks later, there turned out to be an issue. When the unit backwashed it dumped water onto my garage floor. This problem persisted. The second time it happened, I called Rich who we very willing to come back. It turns out my drainline, that had been put in by a previous provider had a kink which was causing it intermittently clog, causing the overflow of water in the garage. Rich found the issue and ran a brand new drain line through the attic. He was at my house for 3 hours to identify and resolve the problem. At the end he offered to not charge me, even though the drain line problem wasn't his fault. I insisted on paying him so he gave me a LARGE discount. I now consider Rich my go-to plumber. He'll get all my business moving forward."

"On a Sunday, the stand pipe that drains the washing machine overflowed, we checked Angie's List and called Custom Plumbing and they sent someone within 20 minutes to cable the line, in the rain. A few days later, a camera was used to find the damaged sewer pipe and with ground radar the area was located under the foundation. Containment was set up and the crew jackhammered the foundation and dug down two feet to replaced the damaged pipe. The exavation was filled and concrete poured. The entire system was hydro-jetted. Everyone was very efficient and professional, explaining every step of the task. Thankfully, Custom Plumbing prepared the invoice for our homeowners insurance reimbursement for half the cost. This is a great company!"

"Just wrapping up a kitchen remodel and Al came out to finish up the plumbing on the sink. Initially it looked like there would be a problem as the drain was too high which would have resulted in tearing out parts of my new cabinets. Al was able to use the clean out as the new drain line and the old drain line became the new clean out. Problem solved and my cabinets did not have to be mangled. They came out the same day which got us back up and running after 3 months with no kitchen sink! Would and will hire them again!"

Overall, I am content with the work performed with a few exceptions: 1) closet flange is a touch low for the tile that was subsequently installed around it. The wax ring will more than make up for this difference, but it is worthy of note 2) the concrete work was rough-finished. Overall, this is not that big of a deal, but we did have to scrape some of the rougher parts to ensure a decent base for the installed tile. I must admit some difficulty with the yes answer to would you recommend them... The price was extremely competitive and our plumber, Walter, was very professional during the consult. After scheduling the job, the follow up was severely lacking. Communication is an important skill and the Plumbing Medics group would benefit from revisiting its value. We had an appointment that was missed... I am in the service industry and can appreciate that things come up. I extended them the benefit of the doubt and waited almost 1 1/2 hours before calling to find out what happened. When I did call, there was a real lack of awareness as to the techs current status and expected ETA. Multiple follow-up calls produced similar responses... he is just finishing up he is almost done and will be dispatching to you soon. Eventually, we spoke with Walter directly and he would indicate the job was delayed because he was awaiting inspection. As it got closer to end of day, it became clear that we were not getting the service appointment that day. our tech advised that he would work with dispatch and ensure we were his first appointment the following day and that he would follow up with us, yet that afternoon, to confirm. When this did not happen, we ultimately spoke with a manager, Kellen. When the language used in that all indicated that we were not going to be the first appointment the following day, I began to doubt my decisions to select PM for this job and to pay 50% of the job upfront. Kellen seemed reluctant to commit to a scheduled follow up: If I have not heard from you by ___ when should I follow up. Finally, he would indicated that he a couple meetings in the morning and would follow up by 09:00. To Kellens credit, he honored that commitment and really took charge of communication the following day. Walter did not make a first thing appointment, was significantly delayed the second day as well but ultimately showed up and completed the job."
