"After five days in the valley, we had a $300 water bill because one of our four irrigation stations went on the day we left and didn’t turn off. We’ve used Magic since 2004 and so called them to get an estimate on repairing it. As the system is 20 years old, we decided to replace all four stations. Ginger came out quickly to give us an estimate, and I was pleasantly pleased with the price, which I thought was very reasonable. They requested payment in advance, which we did. Technician Afraim came to do the repair. It was a pretty major deal and took him several hours. The workmanship was absolutely beautiful. We did have a problem. The next day, after cycling, one station would not turn off. It was not the station with the original problem. We had a new timer, so that was not the problem. The only way I could get the station to turn off, was to shut off the water entirely. They sent Afraim back again. He did whatever he did, tested the system, and left. But on the next scheduled cycle, the problem persisted again, I had to shut the system down to get it to stop. Afraim came back a third time, but the problem still persisted. It was clear at this point that magic management thought we were making this all up.(WHY would ANYONE do this?) The tech would do his tweak, test by turning the timer on and off, and everything would seem to be OK, but it wasn’t, because when it went through a cycle, it simply would not turn off. After the third visit, after he left, I ran it through a cycle. It didn’t turn off, and I called magic, spoke with Sean, and suggested he come back himself and see what was going on. He and the tech came and I believe replaced the valve entirely and everything finally worked! So at the end, we got what we wanted at a good price. Magic management needlessly made the process of resolving this a bit unpleasant, but finally got it done."

I received quotes from 4 companies in our region and the representative Cassie Selle was absolutely knowledgeable and professional in her assessment and the confidence in the quote provided. We had a full resurface done to our pool and after consultation with Cassie we visited their company site and they had displays with the majority of all the choices in material they provide for resurfacing. Then the whole plan started to be executed. The onsite Project Manager kept us informed and comfortable with every step in the process. Everyone in this company is courteous, expert in their knowledge and professional beyond any other company I have spoken with. But if it’s mid-January in New England, for example, you’ll need to wait until the weather warms up again. If you want to keep grass green in winter, consider a grass like Kentucky bluegrass, which maintains its color year-round.

If you plan on laying new grass seed, try to wait eight weeks before stepping on it. You might need to wait an entire season to drive your car across the driveway. Sod establishes itself in the ground in about two weeks.

Aeration can level your lawn if the issue is minor soil compaction, so it can help smooth things out if your yard is bumpy from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. However, it won’t slope your yard. If you have small areas where water seems to pool after precipitation, aeration could help, but larger issues with improperly sloped lawns and problems leading to foundation leaks or structural damage will require more comprehensive solutions.
