Beautiful Desert Landscape & Maintenance

We have been doing business with Fred for over a year. He was coming every 4 weeks for landscape maintenance. In the beginning service and attention to detail were great. Then this last summer of 2012, he didn't show up. No call, nothing. I called him and he apologized and said he was backed up. That's fine, but it would have been nice to have a call. This has happened twice since then. My last service was scheduled for 9/18/12. Today is 9/25/12 and I have heard nothing from Fred or his crew. I am sad to have to leave this review because Fred is a really nice person, but unfortunately we are back to Angie's List to find a new landscape maintenance company.

He started out really well and then one day he didn't show up. I am having to call him more so when he is coming. I am left in a position where I am not knowing when he will come. I would not know when he was coming unless I called him. He is very personable and he has the capacity to do well.

At first the service was pricey, but very good. However, I let them go 6 months afer hiring them. They do work that has not been approved, raised the price on me and did work I had specifically asked them not to do. The yard looked great, but in the end I was charged extra for work I had not requested.I hired a new highly rated company on Angie's list. They are cheaper and simply do the work. Fred needs to understand--the customer is always right. A handwritten note with a smiley face is not professional when I'm paying more for work I did not want.

Fred came out on a Sunday to look over the job and make an estimate. The following Friday he and his crew began what was thought to be a one day job but turned into 1 1/2 days. They had to block some old heads and replace/re-position many others. Most valves were OK, but many heads had to be either replaced or adjusted for direction and coverage.
Fred is a down-to-earth, old school professional that takes a lot of personal pride in the quality of work done; so much so that he provides a one year warranty on everything done. It was a pleasure to work with him and his crew. Recommended to anyone needing quality workmanship on this type of work. I will definitely work with him again.

I had to discharge them because they were unacceptable. He's a good gardener but his punctuality and reliability leave something to be desired. I called the first time he was a no-show and didn't call us to let us know he wouldn't be able to make it. I had to call twice and it went straight to voice-mail. There was a good reason, but he should've called. I told him that and asked that he not let it happen again. A week later, it did happen again. Again, there was a good reason, but again he should've called. We also never got prompt billing - we never knew when we'd receive them. It made things difficult.

They did some extra work for me at no extra cost. They were very efficient and professional, and I was very pleased!

He always shows up on time, does great work, and is a very nice guy.

Freda Campa and his crew were expeditious in completing all requested tasks. Upon call will return to spray an error where no further vegetation is desired. Also will be called back to design and lay in a water sprinkler system.

He fixed it that same day. He even revamped it a little bit so that it was able to be used better. He came back out another time to do some lawn work and clean up for us. He even trimmed some bushes. He is very personable and polite. He listens to what you say and answers any questions you may have. He was educating me on the timer for the sprinkler system as well.

Was a day later than told but the crew worked very hard.

He has revitalized our lawn. He does good work. He is very busy and has to arrange his schedule accordingly. He always picks up his phone. He is attentive and does the job well, but you must make sure to communicate everything that you may want with him. Overall, it is really important to let him know exactly what you expect.

We have used the service for landscape maintenance for about the past year. At first the service was great. The guys showed up every other week per our agreement and always left the yard looking great. Then as time past, the days of service would change turning into every three weeks and now its been a month since our last service. The time previous was three weeks and the time before that was four weeks again. I talked to the owner about it but it got to be too much. Nice guy and very knowledgeable, just not reliable or timely.

We purchased a house in Glendale and the landscaping was overgown. Fred came by promptly to provide an estimate and it was quite reaosnable considering the amount of work that needed to be done. Fred walked us around the property, told us what each plant was and what care it would need, and even pointed out some problems with the drip irrigtation system. He recommended replacing the small battery-operated sprinkler controller that the previous owner had installed with an outdoor unit hooked up to the service panel that he could adjust during his visits. We noted after the clean-up visit that all the plants were in much better shape and that he had removed all debris. We were so pleased with the service that we signed up Fred for biweekly lawn mowing and monthly landscape maintenace (fertilizer, adjust sprinkllers, trim shrubs, etc.). We highly recommend Fred for your landscape needs.

Fred has been there to supervise his workers. He and his company appear to be doing a good and through job. He has been caring for the lawn and garden for three weeks. We are pleased with the attention and care that he has taken.

I've used them 3 times. Between 2 big jobs and 1 little one, I have spent about $1,300. They are straightforward and quick with a quote. They were punctual. They were straightforward and no nonsense. I have been happy with them. Everybody got to work when they came and he was always there usually for the bulk of the job. The guys got to work. There was no muss, no fuss and no problem. The work was excellent. I didn't have to follow up on anything. What I wanted done got done the first time, which was nice. I will absolutely use them in the future.

Fred Campa gave me an estimate on the yard in late April. Because of his schedule and our vacation, he was willing to work on Saturday since there was no time available during the week. Fred has an extremely likeable personality and is easy to deal with. He aims to please! He is very knowledgeable about the plants, trees and shrubs and answered many questions that my husband and I had. His crew is also very friendly and cooperative. I like the fact that Fred was there with the crew so he could explain what needed to be done, and what I wanted accomplished. He had to leave for a few hours, and his crew never slacked off while he was gone. When Fred returned, he did a walk thru in the yard to make sure everything was done as promised.



I hired him to return on a regular basis every other month and would like him to spray thoroughly for weeds semi-annually.



Fred mentioned his business is growing steadily thanks to Angie's List and "word of mouth". As long as he continues to focus on customer service, punctuality and maintain a high quality of work, he should do well!

Very well. We have them come once a month. They charge a little more than the previous companies we've hired but they are very reliable and responsive. Our yard always looks nice. We've had neighbors request their info.

I will not hire or recommend this company

Fred answered the phone the day I called and was very nice. He sheduled a time to come out to meet with me and arrived exactly when he said he would. I walked him through my yard and he was wonderful at offering suggestions and told me the day he and his crew would return. In addition, he scheduled an exact day they will come every two weeks to do yard work. Fred and his crew returned and did a fantastic job of cleaning up debris, trimming numerous shrubs and trees. He's friendly and very professional. I was very satisfied with the work he did and would recommend him in the future.

Fred has provided lawn service for me at two locations for the last few years. He has always been very dependable and will go out of his way to ensure that everything is to my satisfaction. He initially provided bi weekly lawn service then started to regulate and repair my sprinklers. He never charged me for the repairs because, I think, he knew I had a limited income. His lawn service includes trimming all trees, shrubs and cutting the grass. He has fertilized the yard, dispersed weed killer and generally cleaned up everything in sight. He gave me a very good price for the sprinkler system changes (updated timer and valves) and the palm tree removal. He definitely knows what he is doing and does it very well. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Excellent workers, punctual, professional, and honest.

Had a minor quality issue when they started but I called and explained and they came right over the next day and corrected the situation. Since then have occasionally gone above and beyond what would be expected.
