"They were prompt, efficient and courteous. They called to let me know they were on their way and cleaned up everything when they were done. They were supposed to explain something to me about some monitor after the installation, but they forgot. They did walk through how to do the radon test in another week. they also gave me a senior discount, which was definitely appreciated. Otherwise, their pricing was pretty much in the range with the other estimates I received."

"Tracey was wonderful. Have not yet received the test results/certification, but don't anticipate any problems. Cost is much better than other contractors who push insurance claims."

My name is oscar Pedroza, a 23 year old contractor based in Arizona and the owner of New Gen services LLC. I was introduced to this industry at a young age by my father, who taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and doing every job the right way. Through hands on experience over the years,I’ve developed strong knowledge and skills in asbestos abatement, demolition , and environmental services. As a young business owner, I take pride in building something of my own while continuing the foundation my father started. I’m committed to delivering safe, reliable, and high quality work on every project, no matter the size.My goal is to grow New Gen services LLC into a trusted name across Arizona by staying consistent, professional, and always putting the client first.

"I spoke with Collin who was extremely helpful, informative, and went above and beyond to give me peace of mind even before moving forward with any work. I made it clear we had many free visual inspections scheduled and had one air test sample done. So rather than charge us and do another air test and inspection, he gave a very thorough second opinion and gave me additional options of over the counter products to use to minimize exposure in the meantime while awaiting results. Speaking with him has really given me more peace of mind and information than the on site inspections we have had so far. When we get all the information needed, I definitely plan to move forward with any repairs and remediation with Collin. He was so above and beyond and thorough before we are even really customers! Really shined!"

"Dustin Anderson, owner of Advanced Drying, came to our house to look for possible mold after HERTSMI testing revealed the presence of a specific type that could be causing health issues for me. Dustin came highly recommended from several people who have similar sensitivities to mold. He was clearly well versed in the subject matter and it was apparent that he is genuinely motivated by helping people with these sensitivities, even if it means his services are not needed. He took the time to answer all of our many questions. Because further testing must be done to determine what remediation would entail, we did not talk about cost. I can't therefore speak to how that might compare to others who offer similar services. What I can tell you is that I was very impressed. I can't imagine finding someone whom I felt more confident in as far as their knowledge and integrity. I am grateful to him for his generosity in time and for the direction he gave in how to proceed. I would absolutely recommend him without hesitation.

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Keeping radon from getting into your home is much better than having to get rid of it once it's already indoors. While there may not be a way to fully prevent radon from getting into your home, there are things you can do to reduce the gas's ability to enter.

Sealing foundation cracks and openings can help keep the gas from seeping inside. Improving air flow, such as by opening windows, can also be helpful. If you're building your home from scratch, talk to your contractor about using radon-resistant construction to keep the gas out.

The natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock, and water can cause radon to appear in a home. The gas seeps into homes through cracks in foundations, walls, or floors, as well as through gaps around pipes or construction joints. Radon levels are influenced by soil composition, building materials, and ventilation. Poorly sealed or airtight homes can trap radon, allowing it to accumulate.

No level of radon is technically safe, but since it is present everywhere, complete avoidance is impossible. The average radon level in homes across the United States is 1.3 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking preventative measures if your home's radon levels are between 2 and 4 pCi/L or higher.

If high radon levels are detected, steps include sealing entry points, installing a mitigation system, and retesting the air regularly to ensure reduced levels.

The soil beneath your house is most likely what’s causing an increased level of radon. This is because soil holds radioactivity for a long time and it’s also what most buildings are built on. Another common source of radon is water from a source that hasn’t been through periodic radon tests, such as well water. Over time, the radon from the soil can inhabit other parts of your house like the foundation or plumbing.
