"We are new to AZ and the home we bought had really heavy glass sliders. Neither my husband nor myself could open or have access to backyard. We contacted True View’s Wesley Taylor who came to our home, gave us good quote, told us when we could expect to have the necessary installation. We received a call the day before and were delighted when Adam Minjarez and David Valenzuela arrived early am and proceeded to do a super job for us. We can open those glass doors easily and for the first time in over a year, we have easy access to our backyard! Thanks True View for great associates and a great job! We really appreciate doing business with you and should the need arrive, we will do so again!"

"What a great company and crew. We liked their work so much, they are replacing the glass on a walk in shower we just had glass installed a year ago. Last company was a nightmare. Thanks Jeff and crew! Don't even bother calling the other companies in the Valley."

"We found Crystal Clear View Glass on the internet and gave them a call. They were great! The office staff was friendly and professional. The installers knew their stuff, and were on time. They even called us to let us know they were on the way. Due to the fact that our window was single pane glass they were able to measure and replace the window the same day with glass they had in stock! My husband and I were truly impressed and would recommend them to anyone!"

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Glass block installation can be relatively expensive due to the range of material costs and the labor time to assemble this type of specialty window. The process proceeds slowly as the glass does not absorb moisture from mortar and silicone caulk takes longer to harden, leaving spacers to hold up the structure until the caulk or mortar begins to cure. Plus, if your current windows have structural issues or damage, you’ll need to repair them before beginning the project, increasing your bottom line.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.

DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.
