"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "I had a horrible experience with Temperature Control. My AC stopped working on July 3rd 2023, I hired Temperature Control to diagnose the issue. I already suspected it was the blower fan motor, and Tony the Tech from Temperature Control confirmed my suspicion. However, he made it sound like a nightmare, claiming it was a rare "legacy" part that would be extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. He even went so far as to say he couldn't provide an accurate estimate. After disappearing into his truck, Tony returned with what he called "4 options" for me, each with shockingly high prices ranging from $2,186.43 to a staggering $21,874. The fixed included a $701.55 charge to clean the blower wheel. As if that wasn't enough, he then tried to convince me to purchase a completely new AC system, persisting for about 30 minutes. Seeing through their tactics, I told them I needed time to think and sent them away. Refusing to be taken advantage of, I decided to call another company for a second opinion. They promptly examined my AC and fixed the issue for a mere $560, which included a simple cleaning of the blower wheel using a basic hose. I asked the other company if it was a hard blower motor to obtain and they stated that it was the most common motor. In my opinion, Temperature Control operates in bad faith, preying on people in vulnerable situations. Their attempt to exploit my urgent need for AC repair by proposing exorbitant prices and pushing unnecessary replacements is utterly despicable. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company and seek more honest and reputable alternatives."

"So a little while back we posted on here about a A/C heating and cooling plumbing company. Recap on the situation. We called a A/C company cause it’s Arizona no but yes and the first guy that came out was nice and respectful. Second one not so much we didn’t give the name of the company until we could figure out what we could do to get him terminated and find some solutions. So in AZ its ok for a employee to come to your place of residents apparently there is no law firm out there,the state attorney general and the registration of contractors can’t help so if the company liked you and money is more important than safety for the community. The A/C guy came asked to look at the A/C controller located between our other 2 kids bedrooms. My wife was interested in what the situation and solution was she joined us with our 10 month old son. This is where it got creepy and honestly don’t like talking about it without getting ****** and disgusted. He look at my son kept saying how beautiful he was over n over and gorgeous and said he had beautiful eyes and smiled and looked at my wife in the creepiest manner said I know where he gets it from your mom right there made me feel very uncomfortable. So him still talking asking about our 10 month old sons name age and proceeded to ask about our 2 other sons names ages that were not even home and still non stop staring at my 10 month old and wife just started getting more unsettling. So he was behind the counter my wife was wearing a tank top she bent over to pick our son up he literally and abruptly leaned over the counter to look down my wife’s shirt. Now other than getting ****** I had no idea what to do or say or was it just a coincidence so my wife got my my son again and what do you know the same thing happened again definitely no coincidence so much stuff going through my head 80% of the time he was just staring at them not saying anything about the A/C or honestly not much at all which made it more uncomfortable. During this time he looked down the hall and said as he looked at my wife again with the creepy smile said that must be the bedroom I see a big bed in there. Finally he left so I called the company talked to his boss. Here’s the kicker he left a voicemail saying sorry and take him off our case. So I called him it was a back snd forth. He said he’s a great guy a marine no issues I told him there were cops out there with no criminal record that got arrested for things the golden state killer,John Wayne Gacy the clown child killer,Ted Bundy list goes on of people with clean records with ill intent. So his boss was trying to victim blame me saying my wife is hot I’m fat people are going to look or say things he said making me feel I was in the wrong I’m jealous if that was the case why did I give the other guy 2 teas and we all talked like normal. What if it was a single mom,daughter,aunt, so on."

"Think of Mr. Fix-It personnel as jacks of all trades and possible masters of some. Recommend you check on/ask about the background of the person set to estimate your job and on the experience of the personnel that will be sent to do your job. You also need to be there when they start a job to ensure the personnel know what needs to be done, and at least when they supposedly complete it to ensure the job was properly completed. I had multiple jobs done and I discovered the estimator for all of the jobs was a painter. He provided knowledgeable answers to my paint related job but could not do that for the other types of jobs (e.g., stuccoing over wood, new flat roof covering, facia replacement). The estimates were not as detailed as they should have been, and I wonder how the estimator came up with the cost for the job. When the personnel doing the job arrived, I had to explain what to do due to the lack of detail – the estimator was not there, so no oversight continuity. In one case, a stuccoing job, the person sent to do the job said it could not be done the way I wanted, so we had to negotiate what he would do. There was no mention of adjusting the amount I paid at any time even though the actual work done was easier. As for the personnel sent to do the various jobs, I discovered most of them had no or limited experience doing the type of job they were sent to complete – in fairness, the painting related personnel were professional. In the case of my flat roof, part of it had to be subsequently redone properly by a qualified roofing contractor once I discovered water had seeped under the new roofing material applied. I learned the Mr. Fix-it personnel that did the roofing job had worked elsewhere for a year or two with no or little formal training. Would you want personnel that did not know what they were doing try to fix a job they did wrong? I asked for a partial reimbursement for the roofing job and the Mr. Fix-It owner did not agree to this compromise. Other examples of personnel issues showing a lack of experience and/or training involve improperly hanging ornamental shutters and not properly completing and cleaning up after a facia replacement job. In both cases I had to point out the issues, as no one in Mr. Fit-It management checked their personnel’s work. Someone did come out and address the issues I raised, but why should this have been done in the first case? Again, I recommend you think of Mr. Fix-It personnel as jacks of all trades and possible masters of some, then take all the precautions I suggested."
