"This work was not completed by our company, we have not done service at this address or for this customer, please update this with the proper information!"
"We greatly appreciate the feedback, however our records indicate we have not done service for this customer at this location. Our company policy specifically prohibits the sub-contracting of anyone, our licensing does not cover such actions. We do on occasion refer our customers to other licensed contractors for services we are unable to offer, but those contractors are specifically aligned to work directly for the customer. Please provide more details to this service or contact our office. If there is someone doing excellent work we would like to know who so we can sent them more business in the future!"
"Please provide more details on this claim, we have no record of having serviced this customer or this location and I would like to correct this situation. If we did do service for this customer I would like to make this right is I can."
We are so impressed that we know that when we are traveling we can just call and request plumbing repairs be accomplished . We have a house sitter and this makes her feel very warm and fuzzy.
down. Our irrigation system was torn up. None of the damage was repaired. The piping that was torn out and all the garbage from the installation was left strewn all over the garage and yard. The only plus side to that is that I had the evidence that the piping that he tore out was in good shape. If there ever was a leak all he had to do was make a repair. Mike asked me if my stove was gas or electric after he claimed he had installed “all new gas valves throughout the house” (exactly two) I said of course it is gas didn’t you say you replaced all the gas valves? He said he did not know the piping to the stove was underground. I am not a plumber but I could look at it and tell you that in less than 5 seconds. Of course it was underground; you could see it coming through the wall on the outside! The bottom line is that he did not look at the job long enough to figure out how he was going to run the pipe
to the stove. He did not realize hecould run it above ground until someone else coached him. He did not take into account the sprinkler system and allow for that. He kept making stupid mistakes and was totally clueless. He could screw pipe together but had no idea what the code was or what was required. He did not have journeyman level skills. He installed the hot water heater in the garage flat on the floor (not to code), he piped the pressure relief valve to the floor (instead of outside) and hung copper tubing on the wall with galvanized hangars (dissimilar metals not to code). He installed the copper connectors on top of the tank as a soldered connection with no way to remove them (short of cutting them) and lots more. His work was not level or plumb and everything was sloppy. He installed a new toilet on a tile floor without shimming and it was rocking the first time I used it. The gas piping he ran to the stove on the outside of the wall was not anchored correctly and fell down a few hours after he left. He flunked the inspection three times and basically the inspector coached him through the job. Finally, he knew I was angry so he brought his wife and kids with him to pressure me into signing off on the job. Yes, he was a professional. A professional con man and completely incompetent. Little old ladies beware! This guy is a smooth talker and very friendly. Absolutely, hands down, the most blatant I have ever seen. I would include pictures but I can't figure out how to insert them here.
"All issues with this customer were resolved at the time of service, the Owner responded himself, and addressed the customer concerns. The customer signed off accepting all work was complete and acknowledged the guarantee terms. Struse has not been made aware of issues about this service since. The only conversations since the service were related to payment for services rendered, and all parties sided with Struse Plumbing, and the customers were provided the information to submit their complaints in writing, and failed to do so. Even the pictures that are attached to his complaint are not relevant because the issues were corrected prior to the service being signed off on by the customer. Struse Plumbing will proudly honor all guarantees related to this and all of our services, there have been no issues with these products or installation since that have been brought to the attention of Struse Plumbing."
UPDATE 04/11/2012 - I hired a new plumber to address the problems with the toilet in the rental unit. He informed me that the drain blockage reported by the tenant had actually been resolved by Struse during their second trip to the residence so, please understand that the drainage problems were completely resolved after Struse's second visit. He also confirmed that that when the Struse plumber replaced the toilet bowl and secured it to the floor, he used a wax seal that was too small for the gap which caused an ongoing leak at the bottom of the toilet bowl. Weeks ago, when I reported the leakage to Struse after their second visit, and mentioned that I thought it would be related to the wax seal, the Struse plumber told me that it was definitely not the wax seal. After the new plumber's diagnosis, he installed a wax seal of the appropriate size which resolved the leak and billed me only $63.75 for the repair. I called Struse yesterday to report that the problem that their plumber denied actually did exist and that it was due to the wax seal as I had suggested. I believe that the replacement of the wax seal is the financial responsibility of Struse because it was caused by their plumber. I asked that a portion of what I paid them be refunded because of the additional cost to repair the leak by a different plumber. I was told that the Struse owner would contact me today but, as of 4 PM, I haven't heard back from them.
"Struse Plumbing could not complete this client's request for additional work on the line after she had a "handy man" not related to any Licensed Contractor complete a repair caused by erosion issues to the repair that Struse Plumbing made. This repair was not to the standards of Licensed Contractors, Struse Plumbing advised the client that unless the repair was completed to those standards it compromised the structural integrity of the entire line. Struse Plumbing is required to notate and repair all issues not to those standards or we can not completed any work at all. She refused to have the repair completed properly prohibiting Struse Plumbing from completing any further work to this water line. As for her complaint about the price, the additional charges were for additional work that she requested to be done and advised she understood there would be additional charges for."
