"Highly recommended! After 23 years, we needed to paint the exterior of our home. A&K Painting was initially hired by a General Contractor and they were excellent! The first day they power washed the exterior walls. The second day the exterior was completely painted along with staining the wood accents and viga poles. The house looked terrific so we decided to have them also do the window trim. What a huge difference that made! There were three sliding screen doors that were showing their age so Keith took them to an Ace Hardware location that does rescreening and once they were ready, he brought them back and installed them for us. The house looks brand new again! Once our backyard project is done, we will have them come back to paint the new wall. Alex Keith was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to meet our needs. They are a four generation, family owned company that used high quality paint with lengthy warranty. Very professional from the start with great communication throughout and reasonable quotes."

"From the moment he arrived it was almost like working with an old friend. He did all the measurements within a short amount of time, made a complete list of everything needed and we went to Home Depot together because I had a gift card and I get a Vet discount on the parts. The work was all completed within about 3 1/2 hours. I made the est that it would take almost 8, but then I do not have a completely full truck with the exact right tools for the job. That included drilling through concrete blocks and pipe benders and concrete studs that were needed. The work was completed, he departed with the work space that included the entire back side of my house, spotless. I'm looking at another A/C installation in the near future & this will be my first call. Gus"

"We are in the process of renovating and time was of the essence in getting the plumbing inspected when we discover a neighbor had major plumbing issues and replaced their sewer line.  American Leak Detection responded quickly and it was quite a process to see the live video feed.  They confirmed all our cast iron pipes indeed were deteriorated and there were numerous areas of root intrusion.  Had the cabinets and floors been installed it would have been more costly to rip everything out to get to all the pipes that run throughout the house.  With the new pipes in I hope we don't have any more issues but if it did I wouldn't hesitate to call them asap!

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.
