A & J Keith Painting

This company was horrible to deal with. They have serious quality issues. James Keith came to our door to offer a quote for exterior house painting. He was very an l charismatic and even told me he could rebuild our entire house if he needed to. We walked him thru all the issues we needed addressed. They were to apply wood putty and sand it down well they just slathered it on and didn't sand it at all. It looked just as been at when we started. So we were unhappy and I left a bad review. Come 13 months later and our RV gate paint started peeling. So I called the Keith Brothers and was told that they would NOT honor the state required 2 year minimum warranty unless I removed the bad review. He wasn't going to spend the $400 it would take to fix the paint correctly because of the bad review. I reluctantly removed it and let them fix it and now I'm putting the truth back online. Stay far away from this company.

Gave me best price for painting my house

We spoke to several different contractors and decided to go with A & J Keith and we are so glad we did! The price was reasonable and they were very helpful when my husband and I were trying to find the color we were looking for.( Not an easy task!) Alex and James were onsite both days making sure everything was going smoothly. Omar and his crew did a wonderful job. They were very courteous and provided great attention to details. We are beyond pleased with the job they did!

These guys are amazing. This is the second home we’ve had them paint and this job was more extensive, including painting the perimeter walls and landscaping stucco in addition to the home. They did an incredible job - the home looks brand new and the back yard is transformed. The entire job, other than small touchups, was completed in one day. Can’t recommend them enough!

Highly recommended! After 23 years, we needed to paint the exterior of our home. A&J Keith Painting was initially hired by a General Contractor and they were excellent! The first day they power washed the exterior walls. The second day the exterior was completely painted along with staining the wood accents and viga poles. The house looked terrific so we decided to have them also do the window trim. What a huge difference that made! There were three sliding screen doors that were showing their age so Keith took them to an Ace Hardware location that does rescreening and once they were ready, he brought them back and installed them for us. The house looks brand new again! Once our backyard project is done, we will have them come back to paint the new wall. Alex Keith was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to meet our needs. They are a four generation, family owned company that used high quality paint with lengthy warranty. Very professional from the start with great communication throughout and reasonable quotes.

James and Hugh were persistent in their efforts to secure our business. We hired them as pricing was competitive and they were nice guys. They matched my current paint and had 2 guys come out and finished the job in just over 2 days. Great workmanship and care taken for our property. James and Hugh both came out halfway thru the work to walk around to be sure everything we needed was understood. After completion, did another walkaround. We are extremely satisfied with their work and will HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. We will also use them again when we want to paint our interior.

BUYER BEWARE!! I'm not sure which brother first made contact but he knocked on my door and said they were painting several houses in the area and would I like a quote that they would give me a better price because they were already in the neighborhood. Well I did happen to be in the market for an exterior painting on my house that had some very visible wood damage from it not being painted for many, many years prior to us owning the house. We talked about the job and he said "H***, I could build your whole house from scratch if I needed to." So he was very charismatic and seemed believable so I agreed to get a quote. Everything seemed on the up and up so we hired them. Well they showed up on what I thought was going to be the day of prepping. I didn't realize it until later but he basically dropped off 2 Hispanic young men that he apparently gave them some instructions and left them there. The owners didn't touch base with me but for maybe 2 mins. I tried to communicate with the young men and they didn't speak ANY English they just gave me blank stares. Then later I came to realize that they had taped of all the doors shut so that I could not get out of my house at any point. Then they proceeded to just glob on the wood putty and let it drip and it looked horrible. The damage had already been done and the wood doesn't look as good as it could have been. He told me they would make it look really nice and that the wood would look good but not perfect which was fine. Then as if that wasn't enough they prepped and painted my 1925 Sq ft slump block house and surrounding low fence around the front yard in one day! The quality was not good. I talked to him about the colors and told him what I thought I wanted and he said "I know what colors you want and showed us some paint strips that looked ok from what I could see. Well that mistake I will have to own because I should have gotten samples and tested them to see what it really would look like. I can't stand the colors he chose! And I didn't even get a chance to stop them because they taped me inside and didn't even show me the prepping they just moved right into painting. This was a very disappointing experience and I wish I had hired Top Star painting because he was only $800 more and I feel he would have done more quality work on the wood repair and painting. Oh and to top it all off they didn't even dig out around the house or fence so I had weeds that were painted right next to my house. I did check and at least they moved the weed aside and painted behind it but never removed anything from around the house or fence. I WOULD NEVER HIRE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! RUN FAR AWAY!

Fantastic job. Initial consultation was pleasant and informative. Day of, workers were efficient and took care of all of the little extras we asked for. They did a great job and did the whole house, tape to done, in a day. Very impressed and would use again but hopefully won’t need to for however long paint lasts in the desert.

I am giving 5 stars all across the board because (1) a friend recently had his house painted and highly recommended them; (2) the price was comparable with quotes received from other contractors; (3) Alex and James were professional, friendly and extremely patient & prompt with answers to questions I had (and there were a lot) (4) the paint crew was on time, professional, courteous/friendly and considerate of my property and outside items (furniture, grills, potted plants, etc.) and (5) everyone made this a pleasant, seamless project compared with recent projects we've had done. The crew was in our backyard and I went to tell them to just paint around a small shed against the house that I couldn't move. To my surprise, they moved it and that part of the house was already painted! They also removed & re-installed our solar screens when I thought they would just cover them. Their crew's system was so well executed that everything (taping, caulking, scraping/priming, painting, touching up and cleaning up) was totally completed within 7 hours which, I believe, included a lunch break. A&J Keith Painting also repairs cracks/stucco if needed and does not water down paint unlike other contractors, which I can confirm is true because I was home and periodically checked on the progress of the crew. Also, the crew was not noisy, didn't play loud music, knocked on the front door when they needed something and were super polite. Needless to say, we are totally pleased overall. excellent service, very satisfied with results. job was carefully explained (stucco 'raw' left unpainted for three years!) price was very reasonable; job started on time, workmen were courteous and professional, repaired every single crack and damage (there was alot ). this was a complicated project; a two-story spanish hacienda with a balcony and ninety-seven corbels in the eaves that had to be masked off. work was completed on time; the owners came after workmen left to make sure i was happy with the results, which were beautiful. my dream home is now saved from the damage the weather can do to it. i recommend this company to all; they cared for my home as if it was their own.

A & J Keith Painting did an amazing job on our homes exterior. They were very professional and made sure the job was done right.
