"Eric and his crew did a fantastic job. We did a major remodel. We gutted the entire home and redid everything from the floor up. Plumbing, flooring, drywall, electrical, bathrooms, kitchen, and landscaping. His team was very professional and got work done when he said he would."

"I have worked with various contractors throughout the valley and none compare to the quality and customer service of Precision Blueprint Remodeling. I do construction consulting and management and I will be referring my clients over to Raul the long term. Raul and his crew will transform any rental property, home or business into the desired outcome and then some. Very pleased with the relationship that i have built with Precision Blueprint and recommend anyone who is needing major work, to call Raul."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"These guys were great! I'm a first time home buyer trying to make my house look more modern. This was a BIG project for me and these guys put my mind at ease with their work. Very professional, great attention to detail, it's very easy to see why they're #1.....You can tell they're passionate at what they do and take pride in their work. As a customer that's all I can ask for. I've already referred them to 3 of my closest friends who are also interested in getting work done for their homes. I highly recommend Everything Residential!"

"Weston came out, inspected the roof and provided an estimate. I had 2 other estimates. With the 5% discount Truebuilt was offering for Angie's List members, his estimate came in the lowest, and with the good reports on Angie's List, I hired him. Work was performed a few weeks later and all went well. Months later when we had a heavy rain, I discovered a roof leak near the chimney leaking into the attic. I texted Weston and he replied immediately. His guys came out within a few days and repaired the leak. When it rained again soon after, I found it was leaking in the same place, just not as bad. Weston again was immediately on this, came out himself to do a thorough inspection to try to find the problem. He was very apologetic and said he'd make sure this was corrected. His guys came out again in a few days and did repair work again. This time it worked because it rained again fairly soon after and success, no leak. What impressed me the most was Weston's immediate response to me once I contacted him about the leak. I was afraid I might get the run around like you do with so many contractors but, I was pleasantly surprised and thankful for his immediate action to resolve the leak. I know he was busy with other customers but he gave my issue priority, and that meant a lot to me. It just goes to show his ethical standards are high and he is truly devoted to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend him."

Custom Home Builders questions, answered by experts

Framing is often the most expensive phase of building a house because it’s time-consuming and requires a lot of materials. It costs between $20,000 and $50,000 on average, depending on materials and labor costs. Before construction begins, it’s possible that purchasing land is the priciest step in the process. Some plots of land sell for $3,000, while others cost upwards of $150,000.

The primary reason homes have crawl spaces is so the foundation can reach down below the frost line to avoid dangerous soil movement and structural damage when the ground freezes. They’re more popular in colder climates where the ground freezes down to a few feet, and slabs are most popular in warmer areas where there is no frost line. Crawl spaces also provide a space for utility lines to run where they’re at less of a risk of freezing.

Start by researching local contractors with experience in cottage construction. Ask for references, check licensing and insurance, and review completed projects. Compare multiple bids, making sure each includes the same scope of work. A good contractor will communicate clearly, provide a detailed contract, and ensure all work meets code and safety standards.

Typically, architects do not build homes in a hands-on sense of doing the actual framing, roofing, or other building. Architects usually do not have the training and experience to build the homes they design. An architect would need to know how to do the specific trades required to build a house, which is possible but not a common practice. A general contractor or homebuilder typically oversees the actual details of building the house that the architect designs.

Yes, modular homes offer a wide range of customization options for layout, finishes, and features.
