He told me he would do this so it would look professional. He ended up just putting it up against that and it did not look good. He ended up getting pneumonia and he did not come out for 4 weeks. When he left he left doors from my bedroom off and the work was just not finished. Another guy ended up coming and finishing the work and he left a mess and did not do a good job. The guy who originally got sick came back and finished touching up some of the work and tried to repair a bubble in the floor. He did clean up the mess and just ended up leaving. I got a call after this as they wanted to do some repair work and I have called three times and they have not called back or came to do the repairs."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ar/hot-springs-national-park/the-floor-store-reviews-465607.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Shepard's Construction","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AR","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Elaine S."},"reviewBody":"I called Robert Shepard to inquire if he could repair my hardwood floor that had buckled when a water line to the refrigerator leaked through the wall into the dining room. I have Bruce Brazilian Cherry flooring and that product is no longer manufactured by the company; however, I have some leftover flooring to work with to make repairs. There was another spot in the flooring that had come unglued so I also wanted him to repair that. He was working downtown to repair storm damage to some businesses but when he finished he would come by to repair my floors. After about 1 week he came by to assess the situation. He took some of the scrap flooring with him to do a mock-up before he actually started on my floor. He was able to devise a way to remove the buckle from the floor without damaging the rest of the flooring. In about another week, he returned to repair my floors. During this time he called me to keep me informed of his progress and when I could expect him to be here to make the repairs. While he was here, he also replaced an outdoor light fixture that I was having difficulty replacing myself. Another followup item is to return to reposition soffit that had been displaced by the cable tv technician. The last follow up item was a seal around the garage door that another company was suppose to install for me. That company failed to return to finish that job. At this time, he is still trying to get that other company to finish the job on the garage door that they installed last year."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ar/hot-springs/shepard%27s-construction-reviews-483141.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Benjamin Franklin Plumbing","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"AR","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Nancy M."},"reviewBody":"Came out to show me how to reset my yard sprinkler Found one of the sprinkler heads to be damaged. Mr. Beasley fit us in within a couple of hours after calling him. They quickly found the source and made the repair in the line. They were professional, polite and very neat. You can not tell where they dug the hole to do the repair.

Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
