Scheduled Jose's tree service to come on a specific day the following week to cut down a large cherry tree, grind stump, and cut some limbs on another large sycamore tree. I called them the day before to verify they would be arriving on the scheduled date (the next morning at 8am) and they stated they couldn't be there until a day later. I don't live in the house full time where the tree was to be removed and drove over from where I live full time, which is about a 2 hour drive, to be there for the next morning on the scheduled date the work was to be completed. After explaining that I cannot move the date since I had someone scheduled to drive over from 2 hours away to bring a flatbed trailer to pick up all the wood that afternoon, they finally said they would be there the next morning which was what we had scheduled the week before. I was concerned when no one arrived at 8am, the scheduled time, until I received a call stating they couldn't find the house on their GPS. After several phone calls, they arrived at 9am to do the job. I was so relieved that they finally arrived. They were very courteous and completed the work as requested. They even cut the wood into small logs to be split into firewood and moved it over to the side of my driveway. They went above and beyond to get the job done and were some of the nicest people you could ever hire. I would highly recommend using Jose's Tree Service but just double check your scheduled date of work maybe a day or two in advance just to make sure there are no changes with their schedule. They did an excellent job of cleaning all the debris up! Jose and his crew were so polite and courteous that I can't give them enough good complements! They were patient and cut the wood the way I had requested. I just can't say enough how much I enjoyed having them do the work for me. I would most definitely hire them again to do future work on my trees! Thanks Jose, you and your crew are the BEST!
I received an email approx. 15 minutes before my scheduled call for me to log into an account so that they could remote into my PC. At the exact time of my appointment I received a phone call from Donna. She talked me through everything that she was going to do and explained how I could communicate with her while she was working on my PC. We continued to keep in touch and approx. 3 hrs after she started my PC was back to working normal again!
Due to severe cold weather, we could not do anything but diagnose the problem between December 2013 and January 2014. The tech, Michael, contacted me on 1/08/2014 to come out and fix the remote (replace). It was very cold and my husband was home sick, so he said he would call me the next Wednesday, January 15. It is now 4/3/14, and I have had no contact with this business. I did call yesterday and leave a message, which has not been returned. So I am out a $95 service call, my remote control on the logs is not replaced, and now that my husband has retired and our income is DRASTICALLY reduced , I cannot afford the $350 estimate for the replacement. Had they called me in January while he was still working and had a steady paycheck coming in, it could have been fixed.
Their ad in the yellow pages states "customer service is our #1 priority". Really???? The man who came out in December and diagnosed the problem was very knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. Both my husband and I were very impressed, even though the replacement cost seemed a bit high. Needless to say, by "dropping the ball" on this matter, we are feeling we would have done better to have taken the $95 and burned it in the fireplace for heat!
Yes, I could have pestered them with phone calls during the last 3 months, and probably have gotten the job completed BUT is it really necessary for the customer to "chase" the company in order to get a repair done in a timely manner? Yes, the weather did play a factor as well...snow, ice and cold (our whole house heat would have had to have been turned off for 2+ HOURS). But we did have some tolerable weather and I am hot blooded so 2 hours of cold would have felt good!
All in all, I am out $95, my logs are not fixed and now I cannot afford the repair. My advice, use at your own risk and only if you have time to "pester" them to death to get the job done. I cannot comment on the quality of work done as it was not completed.

The computer system that runs this thermostat has no reboot button. Jack disconnected the wires from the thermostat, paused, and reconnected. It in fact did reboot. I called to ask the manufacturer if the heater and thermostat were under warranty. \"Yes, until 2016.\" \"Is there a reboot button, in the event this happens again?\" \"No.\" \"Seems like that could be a nice feature,\" says I. \"Yeah\", says manufacturer. In the meantime, the heater slowly, slowly heated up to the point that the water is hotter than it has ever been since home purchase. So for the time being, the heater and wife and I are happy again. To answer our questions about what to do when this recurs, and the heater... then wife ... then I get fed up, Jack got all the information from us and from our gas system that he will need to base an accurate quote on replacing the system with a tankless gas heater. The wife will want tankless. That will eventually be a whole lot more expensive fix than disconnecting and reconnecting a couple of wires. However, whenever we do that, Jack will be the guy we will hire for the job. We know it will be done right, quickly, and fairly ... and we will understand what is done. By the way, Jack didn't try to sell the tankless system. He simply discussed with us what our options will be, the pros and cons between keep fixin' the present unit vs. replace with another gas tank heater vs. replace with gas tankless.
