"Brian installed the panel and ran wiring at our hunting cabin. He did a great job, and was a a good sport about it being such a remote location. More recently, our lights and appliances were not working correctly. I called him and he was at our home in under 90 minutes, made sure everything was okay on our end, and stayed with me until the electric company arrived to fix the power lines outside our home. I definitely would recommend this company! They are the best!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Fort Smith, if you notice persistent flickering lights after storms, a faint buzzing sound from outlets, or outlets that feel loose when plugging in devices, these may indicate underlying wiring issues. Homes with older electrical panels or aluminum wiring are especially at risk. Moisture intrusion from high humidity can accelerate corrosion, so check for rust on your panel or outlets after heavy rain.

Helpful?

In Fort Smith, you can safely replace a light switch or outlet cover, or reset a tripped breaker, as long as you shut off power at the panel first. Always use a voltage tester before touching wires and work in dry conditions. Avoid tackling any electrical panel upgrades or rewiring, especially in older homes, as these require a licensed professional to ensure safety and code compliance.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Fort Smith improves safety right away, reducing fire hazards and preventing outages during severe weather. Long-term, an updated electrical system increases home value, supports energy-efficient appliances, and prepares your home for future needs like electric vehicle charging. Regular upgrades and home electrical inspections also help maintain insurance eligibility and keep your property in line with neighborhood standards.

Helpful?

After electrical work in Fort Smith, schedule a home electrical inspection annually to ensure everything remains up to code. Keep all project documentation in a safe place for insurance or future home sales. Test your GFCI and AFCI outlets regularly, especially in kitchens and bathrooms. If you’ve had an electrical panel upgrade, confirm all circuits are correctly labeled and consider surge protection for added safety.

Helpful?

In Fort Smith, electrical upgrades—like adding circuits or installing a new electrical panel—can impact HVAC performance, sump pumps, and smart home devices. If your home uses well water or has a backup generator, verify these systems are compatible with any new wiring. Electrical changes in crawl spaces or attics may also affect insulation or ventilation, so coordinate with other contractors if needed.
