"I was not pretty pleased with.  Our backyard was really overgrown.  So we were told that they were going to come in a week before they started working, spray and kill everything.  That didn’t happen.  They came in and did the landscaping.  But now all the stuff that was there before is coming up.  So they didn’t really do what they said they would do.  Several plants died and I emailed them.  They said that it was because I was not watering them enough though we did exactly what they told us to do.  There was no guarantee on the plants.  What they did looked really nice.  The area where they put the grass they didn’t really do it in a way that it would drain.  So now when it rains, there are puddles standing there.  They did a lot of work and they were here working every day.  The price came in of what we thought it would be.  They were responsive while they were working but after they were finished, they were done and no more response to anything.  They initially said that it would be done in a week but it didn’t happen in a week and took beyond that.  They were professional."

"Great company! Fantastic crew! Good morals! Impressive work ethic! Very clean, efficient, and timely! Had some cracking in my bicks and I was concerned none the less. I called 4 different foundation repair companies and I was immediately sold on Apex! There not the cheapest but to my personal experience they are absolutely the best. They told everything I needed to expect on the front end. And much to my surprise they fixed my foundation and bricks in less than a day. Then after all is said and done they have lifetime warranty?s on everything they do! If your having issues with your foundation, look no farther than Apex Foundation Specialist!!!"

French Drains questions, answered by experts

You can pour hot water down your gutter drain to melt ice and keep ice dams from forming. If the problems persist, consider investing in heat cables to run in your gutters. Heat cables can adjust based on the surrounding temperature to keep ice thawed.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

No, you should avoid using liquid drain cleaners. These chemicals, often packed with sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, can wreak havoc on your pipes, causing erosion and potential leaks. They’re also dangerous to your health. If you’re dealing with a stubborn clog, manual removal or a professional plumber is your best bet. Chemical drain cleaners can often make things worse, especially if the clog stays put and the chemicals linger in your pipes.

DIY plunging or drain cleaning chemicals may help minor clogs, but professional hydro jetting ensures long-term solutions.

Applying drain cleaner is a common DIY solution to clogged drains, but it can be extremely harmful to your pipes and lead to corrosion and leaks. It is almost always better to try snaking a clog than using a drain cleaner, but the best solution is to hire a professional plumber. They can locate the clog and gauge the severity using a camera system and then decide if using a plumber’s snake, auger, or drain cleaner is the best option to remove the clog and limit damage to your plumbing system.
