  I called Blk Market Appliance Repair to come out and fix my refrigerator which wasn’t cooling. Mr. Jeremy was able to come out the next day and repair my refrigerator. He was very knowledgeable and professional! I will definitely recommend him to others as well as use him for any future repairs.

  He was late but he kept me updated on why he was late and when he was coming. He stayed, he talked, he built a rapport with me and I felt safe and secure. He looked at everything and gave me his honest opinion on all kinds of things. He told me about things I didn't really need to have done or I could do myself so that was nice. I needed a new garbage disposal so he put that in and then gave me an estimate. I called them out a week or two later because my toilet failed. They came out and put in a new one. Both of the guys were very professional, they put booties on when he came in, he was calm and professional and explained everything clearly. I couldn't ask for anything better. I think they were a little on the expensive side but I just chose to not look at other companies. I chose a more expensive garbage disposal and it's a dream, you can hardly hear it. The toilet has a lid that does a slow close so it never bangs. I joined their plumbing club. I'll probably have them out to drain and inspect my water heater soonshow more

  I had much higher hopes for Abacus then they did. They are efficient, but they sell a contract that is supposed to give you better service, and priority if something is wrong. What they don't tell you, that when they come out depends on scheduling. I had emergency plumbing, and couldn't count on them, which I thought I could because of the special contract, and so I had to go to somebody else. Lesson be learned, you need to read the contract closer, or you need to understand that the priority list is not for an emergency. The people who came were very clean, friendly, on time, and they called, but I wouldn't rate them at the top of the list. We had a problem with the back up on the air conditioner, and it flooded, so I needed somebody pretty quickly. I don't think they were the least expensive, but they were very quality, so I bought the contract. I bought the contract for air conditioning, and plumbing. It covers all of the AC, plumbing and heating. The price was fair, but I work in a company where we are not the cheapest, so I value proposition for quality and redemption of quality. I saw the quality of Abacus was good enough for the contract. When they first come out they say it is $100 just to look at it, and that was part of the company. I think they are a good company, but I feel they are expensive, and they oversell the service for what I got. They were overpriced for what they promisedshow more

  Timeline Detail – RAMRepair – Samsung refrigerator 1- On 9-2-22 Ram Repair (Ray) came to our house because our refrigerator stopped cooling. We got him through Angie’s and he told us he was a certified repair person for Samsung. Ray defrosted the ice at the back (inside) and replaced a part at the back of the refrigerator and said the part had a 90 day warranty. We paid $400 for the repair. 2- We saw that the refrigerator was once again icing up and not cooling and called him again but now the warranty was over and we had to pay for him to replace the part again. He told us he just received information from service supplier that a new required part needed to used instead of the one he installed. So on 1/3/23 Ray came and offered to replace the part from September with the new recommended part. We hesitated but he said it was good for 1 year. We decided it would give us time to find a refrigerator and let him replace the part which now was $800. 3. He left and then Mr. Nash called when the shelves were in because when we put the shelves in , we saw the holes for the shelf brackets were not aligned with the refrigerator holes and all the shelves slanted toward the middle. He did return right away and said he would contact his supplier about the problem. 4. 1/16/2023: Mr. Nash texted Ray the model number and serial number of the refrigerator to ensure he had the correct information. 5. On 1/26/23: Mr. Nash texted him about the part status. 6. On 1/29/23: Ray texted back “Waiting on reliable parts”. Mr. Nash wrote: “ Please keep me informed” Ray wrote : “I’m in it sir” Mr. Nash: “Please explain” Ray replied “ I’m here now and it’s coming” and included a picture of a computer screen with the text saying the “That’s claim number” 7. 3/17/2023: Mr. Nash sent 3 pictures of ID label, slanted shelves, and his computer screen number. As well as restating information from previous texts. 8. 4/2/2023 Ray replied with a like of the computer screen. Mr. Nash replied and requested when he will be coming to install the part. Ms. Nash also has been calling but usually through a number that goes to Angie’s and then switches us to Ray because he was not answering my direct calls to him. Mr. Nash usually spoke with him. Mr. Nash also made 7 Phone calls from Jan 3 to May 2. 3/17/2023: We had a phone call with him in our car on my phone and he asked us if we received the invoice. We had no idea what he meant except we have not received an invoice, not a part and we are not going to pay for it. We have tried to give him time and have waited for him to be in touch with us, but he has never initiated a contact, only responded and we feel he is “hiding” from us. We know he actually works for his brother in San Antonio because he divulged that information upon his first visit. During the early time, like around January, I called Samsung. They told me he was not one of their certified technicians and we should have called them. I never thought to call them because the refrigerator is out of warranty. They offered to send one of their technicians, we declined since we did not want another expenseshow more

  I called to have a disposal repaired. It did not need much as it was simply stuck. The service was prompt but the repairman and a trainee spent too much time trying to talk me into a service warrantee prior to even looking at the problem. I became aggravated because I called for repair. It would have been better if they diagnosed the problem prior to trying to talk you for 20 minutes into a continued warrantee program, particularly first time service callers. He also sounded like a robot talking to me. I will never call Abacus again. Appreciate the more humane and down to earth repairmen that can think outside the box and charge accordinglyshow more
