Very lousy in terms of scheduling the repair. I have extended warranty for my oven and warranty company assigned Mr. Appliance to my repair. They gave me window from 9 to 5 and promised to call in the afternoon the day before to give more specific 2 h window. Never received a call and when tried to reach them, there was no reply but an answering machine. I tried to call afterhours number for Mr Appliance but they could not help me either. I would never hire them again.

Still waiting, part not in yet, (cannot say if it was ordered immediately or not) part supposed to be in Friday and yet they will not come until Monday even at these prices. Feeding my entire family out of a Coleman cooler.
Description of Work: Have an expensive LG refrigerator, the compressor went out November 2014 had it repaired by Mr appliance for $468 (parts covered by LG). Exact same repair with another defective compressor September 2016 now they're charging $698 (parts covered by LG.) In 22 months they have increased their prices by 50%. Delayed service will be over 2 weeks before refrigerator is working again from breakdown. Paid in advance now locked in to wait. LG recommended them for service and that is why I call them in the first place, but I'm going to inform LG about my concerns for their warranty service pick. At these prices they should be doing after-hours work and being extremely proactive for the good of the customer. Lost all food.

I called Mr. Appliance out to repair my washing machine, they needed to order the part to repair it and I was told it be 7 - 10 days. I agreed to wait. I called their office the day before my scheduled repair to ensure they had the part, I was told they did in deed have it and the technician would arrive the next day to install it. He showed up at my door without the part and told me it would be 2 weeks before they had to part. I wanted my money back since I did not have a working washing machine a week later, and it was denied. There is NO customer service pr customer satisfaction with this company all they care about is the money. They make their money by scamming innocent people out of their money and not actually repairing appliances. I will NEVER use them again and I am telling everyone I know not to use them.

Called for a quote and the price was 3x more than what it should be. I would do it myself if I was in the area (it's a 15 minute job + driving time), but they are trying to take advantage. BEWARE & CALL AROUND!

Very responsive and helpful on phone. Had me send pictures of broken part to assist with ordering correct replacement part. Arrived early for appointment, and replaced broken piece promptly. Very professional and courteous all around. My only negative is that the part seemed expensive for what it was, but I don't think that was the business's doing but probably the manufacturer.

I had to pay a service fee. I did not tell him I was through Angie's list and that was my mistake. I did not realize that till later. The fee was $89 somehow in my mind I knew that that was what he was going to charge anyway. So, I was not bothered by it. He diagnosed the machine as needing a new motor. He showed me and some shops and some machines were missing down below. He said that the new motor would cost about $650 and for about $20 more I could buy a new machine for that. I agreed on that. So, that is what we did. He was very professional and polite. He put on something to cover his shoes with immediately. He went right to work and I had him check the price on a new motor. So, I was satisfied that he had checked the best that he could.
Description of Work: Mr. Appliance Expert Appliance Repair came out and checked my washing machine that had quit running.

There was a smell of gas coming from my 48inch pro series Thermador range. The tech determined a small valve needed to be replaced at the burner site. To do that repair he needed to take the stove apart to get to the valve. During disaaembly the gas regulator was broken. He removed the gas manifold along with the attached regulator and brought to his shop. During the process of removing the regulator the manifold was damaged. Thermador was unable to find a replacement manifold. Many calls, missed appointments, texts the tech said he found a part in the thermadore center in S. Carolina. Day comes for installation and the tech never calls during the time he claimed he would. Finally after my husband texts him we were given the and quot;good news and bad newsand quot; . Never giving an explaination as to what happened to the S. Carolina part said that the part from Thermador was back ordered 10-12 weeks (this is ontop of being without a working stove/overn for 5 weeks). He said that he was able to weld the manifold together and we could use till the part comes in. He told my husband Thermadore said that this would be aand quot; fixand quot; till the part comes in. When pushed and asked if he would provide the person at Thermadore that approved this fix he recanted. I should never have called Mr. Appliance in the first place to fix this high end appliance. This was my mistake. However Mr. Appliance is refusing to return calls in order to get this situation resolved. Waiting an addition 12 weeks is not acceptible and we ended up having to purchase a new stove. We are not asking for full restitution as that would be unfair. Howeve,r Mr. Appliance broke the part so should take responsibility and contact us to settle this issue. The website says they standby their work. I guess that only means in cert ain cases. Dont use Mr. Appliance Do call the manufacture and use one of their certified repairmen

I thought my dryer was toast. I was drying a load of clothes and opened it to smell a distinct (and very stinky) burning smell. I called Mr. Appliance and was able to schedule an appointment on my preferred day at a time that was good for my schedule. As promised, I received an email confirming my appointment, even narrowing my appointment window, along with a photo of the technician who would be arriving. The technician called 15 min ahead of time and showed up at my door promptly. He was polite and careful to wear protective shoe covers and keep the space neat. He took apart my dryer and inspected it top to bottom - the good news is that it wasn't broken. Turns out I had something in that load that I shouldn't have (stuffed animal). I now have the piece of mind that my dryer is in good working order and am happy he helped me identify exactly what was wrong. I will definitely call them again if I ever need any appliance repair.
Description of Work: Checked my dryer for possible malfunction. Took it apart and inspected motor, electrical board, belts and drum.

Except for removing the oven door, and unable to put it back on, it went very well.
Description of Work: My new wall oven quit working. He helped to determine that it was the connection from the wall...not the oven. He told us how to fix the problem...and voila! The only problem...he removed the oven door. We couldn't get it back on. He came back the next day to put the door back on. He was very professional and courteous.

Our experience was positive. It was great. The guy came in, he looked at it and he immediately knew what the problem was. He even had the part with him. He fixed it and we were done. Sometimes they come, they look, they don't have the parts and they have to go back and get the parts. He knew because we had told them what was going on with it. A lot of times we can do that with the companies, but they still have to go back to the shop and get the parts that they should have brought in the first place. Mr Appliance had everything and they did the job. We actually ended up repairing under warranty, but we checked on the price too and if we had to pay it would have still been within reasonable limits. I would call them first and tell people to do the same. They were here right when they said they would be. They were punctual. One wouldn't find service people show up on time in the area where I live.

Came out to house to perform a check of the problem, Charged $79.00 and ordered part to fix cooler. Part arrived next week and came to house to replace part. Needed help from owner to replace part because the repairman did not have the right items to fix it properly. After fix, the unit still did not work. Tech did not know how to fix. Said he would call the manufacture next day and get back with answer. Owner had to call two days later to see what was going on. Was told they would call back with answer. No call back. Two days later ,owner called again with same story. Last call to tech which said he was waiting for the Manufacture to call back. The owner said he had untill 4:00PM to call back with a fix. No call back. Owner ordered a new unit for less than to cost to fix the old unit. Will not call them again.

I think they are just to busy to finish with a customer-- they have my money and my dryer is still not working--so they should have told me to just buy a new dryer if they couldn't fix it.
Description of Work: He tried to fix the dryer, but after a few days, it still was not working. He came back and said he would find out more about the dryer from the mfg .but he never came back or called. So, I still have a broken dryer and it cost me 300.00. I will not use these people again

The member called after repair was completed and informed us that it was not heating, technician returned to home to check and found that dryer was working. The member was contacted again, an appointment was scheduled for 12/16. The customer later canceled that appointment and never called back to reschedule.

I knew that this was not going to be an inexpensive repair so even though it cost roughly $900 to repair both appliances I thought that it was a fair price and knew that the majority of the cost came in parts from the manufacturer and not from Mr. Appliance. Daniel was the tech that came out both times to do the repair. Very polite and conscientious. What impressed me the most is that he was extremely prompt both times he came out. It is nice to see a company that is actually customer orientated. They actually seem to understand that the customers have better things to do than to spend all day waiting for a repair technician. I am so tired of being quoted a 4 hour arrival window and then not having anyone show up during the stated time. Mr. Appliance gave me a 1 hour window and Daniel actually showed up 5 minutes early!! First time I have ever experienced that. They will be the first company I call when I need service again.
Description of Work: I needed repairs to both my LG dishwasher and my Duet clother dryer. In the case of the dish washer, a bearing was going out and made a rattling noise when in use. Then entire pump assembly required replacing. In the case of the dryer, we were unable to use the control panel as it was intended and during the drying cycles it constantly made "beeping" noises that were very disturbing. It required a new control panel.

The staff was courteous, helpful and very professional. Refrigerator under warranty stopped working. The manufacturer referred us to 6 repair companies who they partner with in Houston. Mr. Appliance was the only one who was willing to get someone here within 24 hours.

Visit 1-They said the problem was due to food getting into the pump. They cleaned the strainer out, then left. But that did not fix the problem. Visit 2-They admitted they were wrong, and replaced the pump under warranty, but they did apply what we paid previously to the visit, so we paid a reasonable fee overall, but we did waste time in the process.

Tech found debris in sump of dishwasher, removed and ck operation. Customer called 30 days later about same problem. Tech found more debris in sump causing damage to impeller. This is not covered by the manufacturer warranty. Tech called manufacturer and received authorization to replace under part warranty for customer. Customer was also given credit for prior repair in a good faith effort to help customer. Mr. Appliance does their best to satisfy each customer.

Went well. Felt bad for the the technician because my kitchen is not well lit and he had a hard time working in the oven. I assisted by holding a flashlight so he could see, as it was hard for him to hold his small flashlight because his hands were already busy with the tool in one hand and trying to hold the small bracket screws in the other. Turned power back on at the breaker and was kind enough to mark what that breaker was for, since none of my breakers are labeled. Tech asked if I wanted him to wipe the oven since there were some old burnt pieces of bread, etc, at the bottom. I said I would take care of, but thanked him anyway. We did not test the oven, but he said to be sure and call if I had any problems. I turned on oven and it works just fine.
Description of Work: Repairman turned off power to my stove at breaker since unit is not a plug in unit. He was installing a new bake element in the oven. I already had the part that I purchased from a vendor online. Please note that I failed to get an estimate as I had used this company years before to repair a dryer and thought they were very reasonable at that time.
