"It went great. I highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to deal with. The person that came out for the estimate answered all of my questions. The estimate was fair. The work was done on schedule and with no problem. At completion, everything was explained to me. I used their electrician which worked out fine. After completion the radon test showed that my level was now undetectable."

"Cory with Brew Inspection Service did an outstanding job with my home inspection. The report I received was so thorough and very easy to read. I was even provided photos of the home which was great because then I could actually see the areas that needed to be addressed. I highly recommend contacting Brew Inspection Service prior to listing or buying a home- Cory was extremely professional and thorough with the inspection. You will definitely be set up for success if you choose this company."

"The Gaidish crew arrived early and completed all work in three days. They attached a plastic film around the perimeter of my basement to minimize dust and did a wonderful job cleaning up. We've had some heavy rains since then and my basement was dry for the first time in many years. Although I was completely satisfied with the work, I was most impressed with the time the owner Jeff took to answer some questions. I had stopped by the Gaidish office on a Saturday morning and although Jeff had already left, someone called him and he returned, opened the office and he proceeded to answer my questions. I certainly wasn't expecting that! These are the people you want working on your foundation/Basement problems. You won't be disappointed!"

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Abatement includes sealing entry points and venting with systems that reduce radon levels below recommended EPA limits. It is handled by certified professionals.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.

Testing every 2-5 years or upon adjusting occupancy or structural changes maintains safe environments.

If your home has a sump pit, you can integrate it with a radon mitigation system. You can accomplish this by sealing the pump cover with an airtight lid that accommodates radon vent pipes and sump pump hoses. This allows the vent pipe to redirect the radon gas outside of your home.

The soil beneath your house is most likely what’s causing an increased level of radon. This is because soil holds radioactivity for a long time and it’s also what most buildings are built on. Another common source of radon is water from a source that hasn’t been through periodic radon tests, such as well water. Over time, the radon from the soil can inhabit other parts of your house like the foundation or plumbing.
