"It went great. I highly recommend them. They were a pleasure to deal with. The person that came out for the estimate answered all of my questions. The estimate was fair. The work was done on schedule and with no problem. At completion, everything was explained to me. I used their electrician which worked out fine. After completion the radon test showed that my level was now undetectable."

"They were very responsive to my needs to get a radon, sump pump and battery back up complete system installed. They used the Wayne sump pump battery back up systems which is one of the best in the industry for a price less than others that quoted my project w the Baracuda System. They were very competitive, squeezed me in when someone cancelEd , showed up on time, and installed a complete system. I am having some concerns with the noise of the systems so service will be my next investigation... I would definitely hire this company."

"A building inspection I had done on my lovely lannonstone home (built in 1939) suggested there might be structural or drain tile problems in the basement. Jeff scheduled a wuick appointment and honestly told me that the leakage could be solved by mudjacking portions of the driveway adjacent to the area of leakage, a much less experienced and messy solution. I very much appreciated his honesty and fair dealing. He also walked the entire perimeter of the house to evaluate the landscape grading and emailed me a written report of his visit the next day."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

A homeowner can install a radon mitigation system on their own. But it’s a challenging DIY that requires a lot of knowledge about radon mitigation as well as familiarity with local regulations. You do not want to risk an improper installation that leaves the system unable to detect radon or gives it a shortened life span. Relying on a professional is the surest way to guarantee a successful installation.

Abatement includes sealing entry points and venting with systems that reduce radon levels below recommended EPA limits. It is handled by certified professionals.

Your radon fan needs to operate 24/7 to be effective. The only time the fan isn't operating is during its replacement. Radon levels in the home can increase within hours if the fan stops working or something obstructs the stack vent. Fortunately, radon systems require no downtime maintenance between fan changes.

No level of radon is technically safe, but since it is present everywhere, complete avoidance is impossible. The average radon level in homes across the United States is 1.3 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking preventative measures if your home's radon levels are between 2 and 4 pCi/L or higher.

Radon enters your home when warm air begins to rise and exits through the roof, creating a vacuum that pulls cooler air from under the foundation. Part of that air is radon, which is an invisible, odorless gas that develops naturally when radioactive particles are deep within the ground. Those particles usually come from decaying matter in soil and rocks.
