"Matt Prater and his team were very helpful in my decision making. I did my share of research prior to looking for a contractor, when using home advisor I was approached by several via Phone, Matt was by far the most professional, upon meeting him face to face and discussing my project i felt comfortable , since i did my research i was already fairly sure what i wanted for both brand and type of system, Matt showed me my options and explained to me the differences in a detail that was easy to understand, the installation went fantastic, the product is top notch as expected an performing flawlessly, i highly recommend them to anyone."

"Great company! We contacted them on a Monday evening and they were at my house by 2 pm the following afternoon, we really appreciated the quick response. The technicians sent to our home were very professional and took care to not damage our property when removing our old water heater, as well as when they installed the replacement. The cost of the job was reasonable and completely fair."

"Trust and hire them for all your heating and cooling needs. We did; will continue doing so and will refer all our friends to them. They are punctual, honest, efficient, knowledgeable, communicative, thorough and not overpriced.. You wonâ t be disappointed! He replaced our furnace and air conditioning. Weâ ve had our old furnace for 29 years and it was time! We canâ t believe how well our house heats now! With the new efficient unit, we are able to keep our house set for the same warmth, but at 63 degrees instead of 68 degrees. Well worth it! Thanks Brent and Team!"

"We found everything and everyone to be very efficient and pleasant. There was one glitch, however, when the electrician didn't turn on the fuprnace before he left Everyone was very apologetic and things were rectified very quickly. Also, there was a loud banging noise when the furnace turned off. This also was rectified very quickly. The serviceman was very apologetic"

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

Install Boiler FAQs, answered by experts

Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.

Most home boilers will need an expansion tank. That’s because these boilers are closed-loop systems, where the water is trapped. An expansion tank is needed when the boiler heats the water and it expands, allowing air to condense in the tank to make room for the water. Other types of boilers don’t use an expansion tank, such as traditional steam boilers, but these aren’t as common. And hot water tanks may be able to use a pressure release valve instead. When in doubt, call in a pro to take a look.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.
