"Great. Called to request installation of blinds I purchased elsewhere February 2020. Because of Covid, the place where I purchased would not install. Tried contacting 3 other places that sell blinds to see if they would install. Because I did not purchase from them, they would not install. Searched Angies List and found Kathy's Shade Shop. Contacted them and in 2 hours, someone arrived to install. In 20 minutes, he was done. Great job."

"Wasco windows came out to my house many years ago and installed new windows and two exterior doors in my house. After many years some of the window seals began to fail as well as the two small windows on my exterior doors. I called Wasco and gave them my warranty number and after a couple days they returned my call after they found my warranty and all the proper documentation of the work they had done on my house. I was pleased to find out all my windows were covered under warranty except for the two small windows on my exterior doors as the doors were not made by Wasco. After a few weeks they came to my house and fixed all my windows and I was only charged for the two windows for the doors and a small fee of $99 for the window technician to come to my house and do all the work. Unfortunately I forgot the techs name that came to my house but he was on time and very professional and friendly. I strongly recommend Wasco Windows."

"Windows are high quality.  Had all windows in the house replaced (20) and Installation was done in a day.  Very happy with the way the windows perform.  Always had some condensation on the old windows but not with these."

"Installers now was not the first place I got an estimate from. I got a couple estimates and I can say it was a no brainier. They estimate was lower than the others. Even more important to me was Levi, the guy that did the estimate was incredibly knowledgeable, very nice, and did a fantastic job some of the other places didn't even get on the roof to inspect it. Levi was always available and very helpful through the process. We are first time home buyers and this is the first big project we have done. We are planning on Windows in the future and without hesitation I will be calling installers now and won't even get any estimates elsewhere. The job was done very quickly and it looks amazing."

"We had four windows replaced with lead mitigation procedures.  They did an excellent job and nearly got the job done in one day and only had to come back a second day to finish up a bit of caulking.

FAQs for window shutter service projects in Oregon, WI

Metal is one of the best types of hurricane shutters because they are the most durable and longest lasting option. This shutter type will likely cost more than other materials like plywood, but metal hurricane shutters are a permanent solution compared to the temporary nature of putting plywood over your windows during a hurricane. You should also consider hurricane panels and automatic roll-down shutters that are useful for emergency situations.

In most cases, custom window treatments are well worth the investment. Custom window treatments not only elevate your curb appeal and make your home more visually pleasing inside, but they also often do a better job of boosting your home’s energy efficiency than non-custom treatments, and they usually last longer. Plus, specialty window treatments can increase your home value if maintained well, so your investment is more worthwhile in the long run in most cases, too.

Hurricane shutters cost about $3,700 on average, ranging from $1,500 to 5,900, depending on the style, size, materials, and your location. Materials may include metal, plastic, fabric, or wood.

Additional cost factors to consider include the number of windows, the time of year you install, and necessary permits. Keep in mind that if you purchase and install hurricane shutters during hurricane season, namely June through November in most states, you can expect to pay more due to increased demand.

Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.

Custom window treatments cost around $900 per window, and prices usually fall between $150 and $4,800. Your total will depend on many factors, including the type of window treatment, the amount and size of the windows, your home’s location, and the labor cost. Blinds and shutters tend to be the most affordable custom window treatments at $600 to $2,700, and the most expensive options are valances, drapes, curtains, and estate shutters, costing up to $3,000.
