"Large silver maple tree with 7 main beams needed to be removed from backyard. The team at Treewerx had all of the necessary heavy equipment to station in our front driveway, and reach over our house with a boom grappler to secure each beam, cut, and safely lift each massive beam over our home safely where it was processed by their team. Excellent work overall and would highly recommend their services!"

"Please give Tom a call for your outside chores! He was quick to reach out and schedule with me for our leaf clean-up - we have a lot of trees on our 1.5 acres. "Alonso Landscape Service did a fantastic job of removing the 5 stumps from our yard. They handled contacting Diggers Hotline. They used a low-impact stump grinder that left no visible signs of its presence on the lawn after the job was done. They removed all of the debris and filled in the holes with fresh, smoothly graded top soil. They charged what we considered a very reasonable fee for the project. I would definitely hire them again in the future."

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area.   • Chisel and Hammer: This is often considered the easiest approach for those with limited tools or experience, though it is the most time-consuming.

  • Chainsaw: Using a chainsaw is the fastest method, but it comes with significant safety risks, especially for inexperienced users.

  • Burning: This can be an effective method, but it is not recommended unless you can first drill holes into the stump. Without holes, the stump will be difficult to light and may not burn completely through.

A power drill with at least a ⅜-inch diameter bit can make the job quicker and easier, regardless of the primary method. While you can use a chisel or chainsaw without a drill, it will require more time and effort. Always wear protective goggles and thick gloves, as splinters are an inevitable risk.

The best tools for tree removal include a chainsaw for large trees, an ax for notching and cutting down small trees, and a wedge to help control the direction a tree falls in. A hatchet can be useful for very small trees, but won’t be effective for medium to large trees.
