"The good - Job was eventually completed and we are pleased with the outcome. I was impressed that most of the work was done by one guy when some tasks could clearly be done a lot easier with 2 people. They did stick to the quoted price. The bad - and maybe should be 2 stars for these. We hired them at the end of March 2024 with the project quoted to be completed by the middle of July 2024. It did not get completed until Jan 2025 and this is completely unacceptable. We got a call from the electricians that they used stating that he was not returning their calls and that they did not make the payment. Eventually by the time the project was completed they did pay for the initial install. I chose to pay the electricians myself for the completion portion and did not go through CWE for that because they lied to me about contacting the election to finish the project. They also rarely returned my calls. His worker would show up without notice that he was coming out."

They were punctual, communicated well, and completed the project on time for the amount we were quoted. They did a nice job cleaning up between work sessions, as well as at the end of the project which we really appreciated. The deck looks great and is solidly built. See attached photos."

One was a company specializing solely in basement remodeling, but after scheduling a consultation, I quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit—every little detail came with an added cost, and there were too many unexpected “oh, by the way” expenses. Once the holiday passed, work resumed seamlessly. The project progressed smoothly—plumbing was completed on time, followed by framing, electrical, drywall/paint, flooring, and carpentry. Every contractor assigned to the job was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable, always available to answer my questions if Scott or Nick weren’t present. I was never left wondering what if—a few times, I had ideas mid-project, and Nick always provided his professional opinion before executing them flawlessly. The entire project lasted about three months, though it likely would have been completed sooner if not for the holiday season. Regardless, everything was strategically planned and executed on time. From a financial standpoint, the payment structure was transparent, with a clear breakdown of what percentage was due and when, based on project milestones. Scott would send a simple notification when a payment was due, but work continued without delay—even before payments were received. There was never any pressure, just a well-managed and trustworthy process. Fortunately, we had the funds and stayed on schedule with our payments. Prior to the basement project, we had already taken on a few other home improvements, including painting the interior and closing off a wall to add closet space. We hired another company for that work, but in hindsight, I wish we had discovered American Home Remodeling sooner to handle those projects as well. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with American Home Remodeling. Their professionalism, organization, and expertise made this project stress-free, and we couldn't be happier with the results. "Kurt was fantastic. Our entire building was suffering with no hot water on a cold winters day. I found Kurt recommended by the maker of our water heaters. I called a bit frantic, recieved a return call within minutes, got great advice, honest folks helped us get things back up and running when most would have let us wait and possibly charged us for something we could do ourselves. We are so glad to find a trustworthy service group, and wouldn't go anywhere else unless they refer us. You simply don't find this type of honest often, I'm proud of them and quite grateful."

"I'd give zero stars if I could. Called to get a drip fixed and was told it'd be about a week out, which we decided we could live with. Since this is an active drip, we've been managing by using a bucket and turning the main water valve off when not needing to use water. ON THE DAY OF OUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, they called and said unfortunately another job was running over and they needed to reschedule our service. I figured it'd be the next day or at most 2 days... Nope, they told me it'd be 10 more days before I could be fit in due to their other commercial jobs that they can't change. Had I known I'd be cancelled on day of I could have had a half dozen other plumbers come out. If they can't reliably serve residential customers, then they should be honest or don't schedule them. If you're looking for residential work, DON'T TRUST the scheduling department of this place."
