I have used this plumber for years during large remodeling projects and smaller plumbing jobs like this last one. The toilet that needed to be replaced was only three years old and used primarily by guests. I was proud of myself for getting such a good (cheap) price on it until Steve told me while he was installing it (in his charming accent) "you gonna have problems with this one". He was right and three years later he replaced that overflowing, persnickety nighmare of a toilet with a new Kohler. I no longer wonder and worry what the toilet will do when a guest asks to use that rest room. Steve replaced the burned out instant hot water heater and kitchen faucet while working in very tight quarters and granite counter tops. No mess. No fuss. "Background.  We had been flooded out of our home due to an unrelated failure of a supply line to our toilet.  Because of that, we had our plumber come in and give us steel braided supply lines and steel braided hoses for our washer back in September when we were still living in a hotel. 
The first time I tried to use our washer, the hot water did not work; the cold water was filling very, very slowly; and there were strange noises.  I did all the things suggested in the owner's manual to no avail.  When I called Steve and explained the situation, the first thing he wanted to know was if the washer was in the basement.  When I said it was on the first floor, he asked if the steel braided hoses were anti-flood.  I did not know.  He suggested I call our plumber, because Steve has had experience with anti-flood steel hoses on washers not in the basement not allowing water into machines.  He didn't want to waste our time with a service call if our plumber could switch out hoses.  I called our plumber that day and the next morning and had not heard back.  We called Steve again, willing to pay him for bringing new regular steel braided hoses, but he affirmed to us that he'd be more comfortable if we were able to contact the plumber who did the original work.  We were finally able to talk to someone in the know at our plumbing company - they had used anti-flood steel hoses and came out with regular steel braided hoses, replacing them at no charge.  Not only did Steve save us money, his advice to us not only got our problem corrected at no charge to us but it also enlightened our plumbing company not to use anti-flood steel braided hoses on wash machines unless they are in a basement.  I will definitely call Steve for any future appliance repairs!
