"Josiah was punctual. He did a fine job He replaced a few feet of plastic water lines with copper pipe and secured it to a piece of wood to hold it tight I had noticed when the washer filled with water the plastic water tubing would jump around. This secured it ! He put in a new faucet. It looks very nice. He got it all done in a timely manner. He was very pleasant and explained what needed to be done and we agreed. We also had him flush our water heater too we were very pleased with his work."

"The deal on Angie's list stated that wires would be "dressed." To me this means that the wires would be covered. There were wires sticking out all over and was extremely unsightly. I had to pay an additional fee to "dress the wires." When that was completed, it looked much much better. Unfortunately, the pictures below show how it looks now. Some wires are still exposed and the paint was chipped."

"Bob went above and beyond the service I originally hired him to do. I had another problem with my computer which I created but he came to my rescue and he did not even charge me for the additional service"

"Rich showed up early and was very respectful of our wishes in terms of removing his shoes or putting on shoe covers.   He was very careful moving his equipment so as to not damage the walls or the stairs.  He covered everything that could be exposed while working.  He worked quickly and thoroughly.  He answered all my questions and even ran the negative ion machine in my son's room.  We would definitely hire them again (and we have!)"

"There were many things wrong in my computer (my fault and letting grandchildren on computer) Robert was so helpful, gave me many good instructions to keep everything safe, which I have written down, feel like I have a new computer. He was so excellent and experienced, took his time and was meticulous about what needed to be done. He was a pleasure to work with and I will use this company again! Linda Disy"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Hayward, if you notice persistent flickering lights during seasonal temperature changes, outlets or switches that feel warm, or circuit breakers that trip repeatedly, these are early warning signs. A burning odor near electrical panels, buzzing sounds from outlets, or GFCI outlets that won’t reset—especially in lake homes—often signal underlying issues. Addressing these promptly helps prevent more extensive electrical panel or wiring repairs.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Hayward enhances safety during storms and power surges, supports efficient heating for long winters, and ensures reliable operation of modern appliances. Adding or updating outdoor lighting increases security and enjoyment of lakefront spaces. Installing GFCI outlets in wet areas and upgrading wiring in high-use rooms also boost comfort, making homes more suitable for year-round living or seasonal rentals.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Hayward often overlook permit requirements, use indoor-rated wiring for outdoor projects, or skip weatherproofing for outlets near docks or patios. Installing standard outlets instead of GFCI in kitchens, bathrooms, or outdoor areas is another frequent error. Failing to match wire gauge to circuit load, especially in older cabins, and not considering increased seasonal electrical demands can also lead to safety and code compliance issues.

Helpful?

Signs that electrical work may need to be redone in Hayward include visible corrosion on outdoor wiring, lack of weatherproof covers, or standard outlets installed near water instead of GFCI. Aluminum wiring showing discoloration, active knob-and-tube wiring in older homes, and overloaded panels with double-tapped breakers are also red flags. Extension cords used as permanent wiring or improper grounding may indicate non-compliance with current electrical codes.

Helpful?

Electrical panels in Hayward homes, particularly those built before 1980, often require upgrades. Outdoor lighting and outlets exposed to freeze-thaw cycles, kitchen and bathroom circuits needing GFCI protection, and dock or shoreline electrical systems are common trouble spots. Wiring in basements, crawl spaces, garages, and outbuildings, as well as well pump connections, also typically need attention due to Hayward’s climate and older housing stock.
