(We found his company on Angie's List) Within a week he gave us a quote - final price contingent on grade of resurfacing material and Corian. Since we had our kitchen cabinets resurfaced and a new Corian countertop installed a few years ago, we pretty much knew what we were getting and the labor to install.
After we signed the contract, Bill visited us again with resurfacing samples and did a more detailed set of measurements. Also suggested we visit Ulig Custom Counters (Saukville, WI) to get ideas as to Corian grades, sink size, colors, etc. After our visit we made decisions on both resurface material and countertop/sink. Bill then gave us a final estimate which we approved.
Both Bill and an Ulig employee stopped by again to finalize exact measurements. Within two weeks, both resurfacing and countertop were installed. Took two and 1/2 days - no problems, not much dust, tad noisy at times (but no big deal). Everything cleaned up and all old materials taken away. Bill even gave us $50 credit due to our removing much of the old materials that he'd thought he'd have to do.
A local plumber (Mike the Plumber) that we have used for years will stop by in a day or so and hookup a new faucet and drain. "On September 11, 2025, I hired Mr. Holland’s to clear and diagnose a main line clog. I was charged $738.04 for drain cleaning with a snake. The invoice states the technician attempted to snake the line multiple times but could not get it open, and because the drain was still impacted they were unable to camera the line. I was told the blockage was around 90 feet from the access point, but my own measurements showed that distance would place the problem across the street, which did not make sense. In reality, the blockage was never cleared and the scope I paid for was never attempted. Even though the line was still blocked and never scoped, I was given a written estimate for $39,900.34 to excavate and replace about 7 feet of my sewer lateral. That estimate included removing two sections of sidewalk, excavating down 9 feet, cutting out and replacing pipe with PVC and a cleanout, slurry backfill, and sidewalk replacement — but no landscaping restoration. No spot-repair options were offered. I later hired Subterranean Sewer Experts, who scoped the line and found the actual blockage about 30 feet inside the basement, not 90 feet away. They also scoped another access point closer to the street, which confirmed the sewer lateral was clear and did not need replacement. I had paid Mr. Holland for clearing a clog and performing a scope, neither of which were done. I was told by both phone and text that my payment would be refunded; I even saw the refund pending, but it was later reversed without notice. Because the blockage was left in place and the scope was never done, I was forced to hire another company and pay an additional $747.40 to complete the work Mr. Holland’s failed to perform. Based on my experience, I was charged for a service that was not performed, left with a blockage still in place, given a nearly $40,000 estimate for unnecessary sewer work, and denied a refund that was promised."

Abrahamson Services provides a wide range of services to the 4 county Milwaukee area. Anything from windows, doors, roofs, gutters/toppers/cleaning, to roof raking, ice removal and interior work
"Ken was fantastic from start to finish. I hired him to remove an old basketball hoop, pour new cement, and install a new one. The job turned out to be much tougher than expected—the old cement was nearly impossible to break up and the clay ground was hard to dig deeper for the required dept —but Ken handled it like a pro, using a jackhammer and digging through hard clay soil without complaint.
Despite the extra work and materials needed, he stuck to his original price even when I asked to pay him more, which speaks volumes about his integrity. He returned a few days later to assemble the hoop, and the final result was perfect—every measurement was spot-on.
Ken went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. Highly recommended!"

FAQs for sink repair projects in Hartford, WI
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The average cost to unclog a drain is around $200, with prices ranging between $110 and $800, depending on the type of drain and the extent of the clog. Hiring a professional to snake the toilet or sink will usually cost between $110 and $275, a bathtub or shower typically costs around $225, and a main line clog can cost between $100 and $800 based on the severity of the clog and how far beyond the access point the clog sits. Since the labor involved varies, most plumbers will charge an hourly rate for drain cleaning.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
