"Chris was very thorough as we discovered some mold after the demolition was done. Chris took care of that also which added extra time to the job as he wanted it to be treated multiple times before putting the drywall back up. When we wanted some more sanding done Chris did not hesitate to accommodate us and the outcome was great. Chris also did the painting and made sure we were happy before collecting the final payment on the job. I will be using Chris in the future for an insulation project.

JJB is responsive, communicative, on-time and on-schedule, does not cut corners, always willing to tackle new issues or problems that arise during construction, respectful of neighbors / other tenants, and very fairly priced for the quality of work that they provide. We even had some city permitting issues from prior construction that JJB was able to take on and get cleared up. I can't express how much headache this saved me! On top of being great contractors, Joe and Jeff and their team are also just great people - very personable, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to be around. They really desire to make their customers happy and to do good work. You won't find any cheap shortcuts or shoddy work with this team. "Andrew came out to give me an estimate within 1 day of my call to him. I spoke with his son after he evaluated the work that needed to be done and they promptly put a proposal for work in the mail to me. A couple of days after I mailed the proposal with my 50% deposit, I called Andrew and he didn't give a definite date when he would come to do the work, but said it would be within the week. I told him that I could not have any contractors at my house on Monday 9/28 and he honored my request. When I returned home from work on Tuesday, Andrew was there with his crew. He showed me the work he had done and they cleaned up very well after the work was completed. The bricks don't match perfectly, but during the initial estimate stage, he had said it would be difficult to find matching bricks. It looks neat and clean and I was more concerned about the gaps being effectively sealed (we had a problem with rodents entering our basement beneath the porch) than it being a perfect color match."

That is how I originally found them on Angies List; I was looking for a house sitter while we went on vacation for three weeks. They have arranged exterior concreting for me. I talk to them and do not have to deal with the sub-contractor. They have done some light interior, carpentry, and plumbing. They arranged for the people to come in and install a light for me. I do not use them as a general contractor. I use them for when I need something done I call Loretta and she will call the sub-contractors and then call me back and tell me the price."

"We removed the wood paneling in the basement shortly after moving in.  That's when we noticed 13 cracks in the foundation.  None of them structural issues.  They came in and repaired all of them in one day.  A couple of them were difficult to get to due to stairs and piping, but they did a great job on all of them.
