"Masterwork excavated our pond that had been over grown and neglected. They also graded the surrounding landscape. They did a phenomenal job. Better than we had even envisioned when we hired them. Very professional and courteous team."

"Mr Cantoral called and came the same day to give us an estimate. I hired him and he started the next day and came every day for the next three days. I needed an extensive cleanup of our very large yard. He is a very hard worker and we were very pleased with his work. I would highly recommend him for any small job or a very large job like ours. His work ethic and his eye to detail is above other landscapers we have hired in the past. We will be continuing to use him for future maintenance and projects."

"He returned phone calls! He talked us through his plan and gave a quote and then stuck to that quote even though there was a bit more work than he expected. He came back to make sure that we knew what he did. Made suggestions for the future with no pressure to do them or use him. Fantastic"

"They answered all our questions before the work began and the crew was friendly. They were conscientious of our property line and didn't stray into our neighbor's yard with their equipment. They removed a tall diseased tree in our backyard safely and the overgrown hedges on one side of the house. We are looking forward to booking them again for some concrete work and an egress window in the near future."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Grass is the most popular and safest option for planting over a septic drain field, but you can also plant small flowering plants and other lightweight plants that don’t have woody or deep roots. Avoid trees and bushes within 10 feet of the field, as the woody roots can crack the perforated pipes. You should also avoid planting vegetable or fruit gardens over your drain field, as a leak from the pipes could contaminate the soil and put anyone who eats the produce at risk.

Common features in lakefront landscaping projects include native and water-tolerant plants, stone paths, docks or piers, seating areas, and erosion control solutions to create a harmonious integration with the waterfront setting.

If you use the wrong plants for your gardening zone, you’ll likely get less than desirable yields from them. In some cases, your plants can even die. It’s important to ensure that your plants are able to survive in your hardiness zone before getting them into the ground.

Yes, if you are using rocks to form a pathway or driveway, it’s a good idea to first install landscape fabric before layering in your rocks. Landscape fabric is your first line of defense against unwanted grass and weeds on your rocky surface.

A window flower box should be deep enough that there’s room for a wide selection of plants and the required amount of soil and gravel. Standard flower boxes are 8 inches deep and 8 inches from front to back. Larger is better to increase the variety of plants in the box, but you could run into stability issues as it increases in weight.
