"Very well. Grant was on time for every date scheduled. He took the time to explain what was wrong and how he would recommend fixing it. He and Shane were meticulous in their work and did a great job cleaning up. A follow-up visit was necessary to put final seal coat on. This was done in a timely manner, as soon as weather would allow. I would recommend and would call them back for any future chimney work"

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"All for one Chimney was fast and efficient!  Their schedules are very flexible and they are even available on the weekends as well.  Kevin was able to come to my home the following day after I called him to clean my chimney.  After contacting several chimney companies, we just knew that we had to pick All for One chimney for our needs as their rates are extremely affordable and their service is excellent!

"Great! They spent 2 days repairing a poor roofing job that lead to our leaking and a several nests of wasps invading house. They also did a great job cleaning our gutters this spring.

They will be returning next spring for another issue we need addressed.

We were very happy with this company, Ben is very easy to talk with.

"Joe, Jeff, and their crew were great--professional, friendly, and excellent at their jobs. We received clear and timely communication from them throughout the job, and even after when we had follow-up questions. They took the time to make sure we had all of our questions answered at every part of the process. They repaired damaged spots on our stucco exterior and then sprayed on a coat of new stucco. They also re-pointed a deteriorating chimney and installed new chimney caps on both chimneys. The house looks fantastic! We've received compliments from many of our neighbors on how nice the house looks now. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"The service of the big deal was okay. The initial appointment  was a no show, but they rescheduled the following week.
I eventually chose them to do the roof.  We signed the contract in Mid July, and were told that they would either be out the first or last week of August as they were re-arranging some schedules. Then we were told that it would be the first week of September. They finally came out  in mid November -- the one day that it was above freezing. This was after I was with them on email and phone, for 3 months trying to find out when they would be out. They would never give me a firm date.
I was under the impression that they didn't use sub contractors, it seems like they used a crew of roofers that they use occasionally. It was not a very good experience. I had selected the upgraded underlayment, and according to the manufacturer, they are supposed to use a special kind of nail, cap nails, to install it. When they showed up, they didn't have that particular type of nail with them even though I had an email to the contrary. I was told by Steve that they only use that kind of nail is special circumstances and that it was not necessary. I showed him the Manufacturer's Specs. and he broke out the cap nails. They did not follow the nailing pattern recommended by the manufacturer, GAF.
The day after they completed the roof, there were strong winds and rain. A section of gutter on the front of the house ripped off, damaging aluminum awnings over two windows. The company had also been contracted to replace the gutters as well as install soffit vents. This may have been the reason the gutters were not attached well after the roof was completed.
They came out the following week to do the gutters and soffit vents. They bent up a piece of fascia to remove a piece of soffit. It was at this point they discovered that they did not have the appropriate type of venting, and to do it right would require replacing all of the soffits. (this after they had been up to look at the soffits on at least 2 prior occasions). They provided a quote for this work, and rehung the damaged piece of gutter. Because the increased expense was beyond what we had budgeted, and due to the rest of the issues, I chose to solicit quotes from other companies.
The dumpster they delivered for the work sat in our driveway for 2 weeks! I was told that they would have it picked up the following Monday after they re-hung the gutter. I called the dumpster company that Monday. They had no record of a pick-up scheduled. The dumpster company was able to re-arrange their schedule to pick up the dumpster by Weds at MY request.
With the snow melt, I have discovered additional issues. I have found roofing debris scattered around the yard, including a piece of old felt that was hung up on the power line to the house. I have found 3-4 triangles of SHARP sheetmetal scrap from the Chimney flashing. Just this morning found 2 gutter hangers, with nails sticking out, laying in the grass. This is in addition to a a number of old and new roofing fasteners (including the cap nails) scattered around the house. I am leery of cleaning an awning gutter in the back because of what I may encounter in the small gap of a gutter.
In addition, the "repaired" gutter leaks, the rest of the gutters have gaps between them and the Fascia allowing light rain and snow melt to drip off the eaves instead of being directed away from the house.
I question how well the shingles have sealed due to the temperatures during installation, and for the rest of the winter. I also wonder how well the caulk used to seal the Chimney flashing cured -- again due to temperatures wen the work was done. When I have the gutters completed this spring, I will have the job inspected and may have another update."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.
