"December 31st, 2018 Dear Wasco, My Dad and I purchased Wasco windows for our home in 2001. A total of 18 windows. At the time, my Dad considered purchasing our windows from several difference area companies. He traveled to each of them comparing the price and quality of the windows. After doing his homework, my Dad decided that Wasco would be the best company to purchase the windows for our home. My Dad was retired and I was still working. We decided to split the cost of the windows. I am quite certain that one of the things that helped my Dad to make his decision was the Lifetime Warranty that came with the sale. I did not think a whole lot about it then but my Dad did. A few years ago, I noticed the black seals inside of the windows had began to buckle. I also noticed the shades in my bedroom would move whenever it was windy outside. So I called to express my concern. I had not looked at the paperwork we had saved from 2001. I was scared to death to have a technician come and look at my windows because I knew it would be difficult for me to pay for 18 new windows to be installed. I was thrilled beyond measure when I was told that our windows were covered by the Lifetime Warranty. If I could have done cartwheels, I would have! The receptionist I spoke with was friendly and really helpful. She explained that she would send out a technician to look at my windows. A few days later Brad arrived. After closely inspecting several of the windows, he got out his measuring tape and measured every single window in our home. I was told that I would need to only pay for the trip charge ($54.95) and that all other costs would be taken care of. I was SO IMPRESSED. It is not often in our day and age you find contractors or companies who are willing to stand behind their products and work. This is exactly what Wasco does and did! A week or so later, Brad and Rob returned with brand new glass and seals for all 18 of our windows. They spent all day working. Both Brad and Rob were friendly and professional. I felt comfortable having them in my home. One of the duo stayed outside working in the truck installing the new glass and seals into the window frames. While the second gentleman removed one window at a time, took it outside and then brought it back in and re-installed it once again. It was quite cold out the day the windows were installed. I was grateful for how well Brad and Rob worked together and how quickly the windows were changed out. The new glass and seals have made a huge difference in the warmth we feel in our home. The shades do not move a bit even when it is extremely windy outside. I am handicapped and really appreciate the tip in windows. It would be extremely difficult for me to remove windows and screens to clean our windows. The tip in/out windows make it possible for me to still clean our windows. I am really thankful for this. I would highly recommend Wasco to any of my neighbors and friends who are shopping for new windows. "We replaced all the windows in our home (22 total), including 2 basement casements and 2 garage). We also replaced our entry door. The salesman was great but a little too "hard sell." He was determined to leave with a signed contract. It is good that his visit was the last of 4 that I had arranged, so I knew exactly what I needed and wanted. The windows came in sooner than we expected. The installation was fast, but split up, as the front door came in after the windows. The two installation teams were phenomenal. Zero mess, zero damage to the existing frames. The second team also did the front door, with equal care and workmanship. Upon inspection, 3 of the glass panes and very fine interior scratches. The project manager ordered replacements and these were switched out seamlessly. Overall, I highly recommend Empire. Since our windows have a lifetime warranty, I won't need them again for that! However, I would use them again for other projects."

"Weather Tight installed glass doors that they knew and told me were defective. Re-ordering them several times from the manufacturer resulted in 5 panels being ordered. BEFORE unblemished/correctly made doors were installed, they demanded payment. I was forced to pay before the job was done. Moreover, it took ordering nine or more panels from the manufacturer of replacement door--and one full year--to get the job done! They kept using the same manufacturer that the salesman claimed was local and exclusive to Weather Tight, which was not true. Turns out that you can get the same doors from competitors of Weather Tight for less money. Had it not been for the fact that they finally got the job done without a law suit, I would have given them an "F"."

"There are many good things to say about Empire Home Remodeling. To begin the process, we selected three local window vendors. All three came to our house to explain their product line. We don't buy solely on price. Empire had the most professional presentation of the three we considered and we felt no high pressure from the sales rep. Price wise they offered the best product of the vendors at what we felt was a fair price. We were able to purchase triple pane glass for the same price the others were offering for double pane, glass, plus some additional benefits. Windows came with a lifetime transferable warranty. This can be a benefit when selling ones property. We felt confident that the measurements were accurate as they double checked before placing the window order. They were willing to work to our schedule as we had some major issues confronting us when it came time for the install. When it came time for installation the installer was very concerned that things were done right. He was very neat and left our premises in great shape. We feel we made the right decision because if we had a question of any type Empires owner, Melissa, dealt with it herself. We did not have to deal with a list of people in order to get an answer. We felt this to be very reassuring. In addition, Melissa, visited our house several times during the install of the windows to see if all was going well.
