This company is a scam----the owner promises work but first collects money and then bails. He also "needs parts" which he charges you for but then disappears. He disconnected his phone after I made multiple calls to him. And just in case: his name is Tim Diddier. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. I can be reached at 312-253-3838

Tim went by the Unit June 18, 2025, looked over the Jacuzzi, informed me by phone that he will go back to his office and order the part that was needed. He ordered, I sent payment by Zelle. He was in contact with my son for the scheduling of the installation. Due to several scheduling conflicts it was taking sometime to get it installed. A date and time was finally confirmed and he reached out to my son by text at 2:15pm when he was to meet me at 2pm, stating that he is "literally sitting at a dead stop traffic. "2pm into the city is absurd. He offered to come Saturday at 10am, and also stated he had to close this account out. He offered "a Full refund" or going on Saturday or Sunday. I chose full refund as the scheduling was not working out, He is coming from suburb into the city and apparently traffic is an issue. I chose the refund and haven't heard from Tim since. I have texted him, phoned and left multiple messages and no response from Tim what so ever.

The service provider came out to diagnose the problem on October 1. I paid him $100 for that prior to his arrival (he rebated $25). He then told me the price to fix the issue: $322 for part + $100 for service. I paid in well advance on October 1. He was supposed to install the part on October 10th in the morning, but he did not show up. When I asked why he didn't show up on October 11, he said "Hi Jack, it was pouring by me this morning. I'm kind of waiting to see how the rest of the afternoon is looking. Would you be ok with us coming tomorrow morning? It sounds silly but at the end of the day it is still electric no matter how big or small the project is.. Rain and electric aren't friends. I cannot send any of our guys over there and me personally i'd rather not take the chance but if you would like it done today, I'll try to work something out." It did not rain on October 11th in Park Ridge until late in the afternoon, so not sure why he judged the rain based on his own location. He noted the service wouldn't take more than an hour either. So, I texted him back on the 11th requesting to tell me next time he cannot show up because my wife was waiting for them at the house all morning (she had some place to be). Since that last text message to the service provider, I have texted him twice and tried to call him over 8 times. Just this morning (10/14/25), the calls do not go through anymore and the call says the person I have dialed is not in service.

"Brittany failed me completely and did not do her job with vetting reviews. Based off her incompetence and failure to do her job properly, Will be closing my Angies account. My business has been around for 20 years based off word-of-mouth. You have sent me into dangerous situations, you’re not vetting your reviews whatsoever, you’re allowing fake reviews posted unless I pay hundreds. Angie’s already has a horrific reputation, and I will be using all emails and I’ll evidence to share on as many social media platforms as possible, I will be contacting the BBB with all evidence and communications as well. I understand you guys keep the company information and reviews online with fabricated slander and that’s just fine. Again, we’ve been around for 20 years and we are much better off without Angie’s list. Your customer base is low income classless animals anyway. I will also be sharing details reports of the verbal sexual assault that Angie’s list okayed, basically condoning the disgusting situation, and also allowing a fabricated slandering review from the predator. Angie was notified of the incident immediately. Angie’s was called while still on site of the customer who is making sexual advances and did absolutely nothing. This detailed case will be going to as many news outlets as possible and shared everywhere. Hopefully it saves people from joining such a repulsive company, who is OK with sexual assault. They even charge you for a lead where you were verbally sexually assaulted"

Tim, from Lifeline, came out right away, was very knowledgeable and friendly, assessed the issue and repaired the hot tub. He did a great job and the company stands by their work with an authorized warranty. Highly recommend if you are having any issues with your hot tub

My dad hired Lifeline Spa Repair in August and got a quote 92.66 for parts and 100.00 for installation. My dad agreed and paid in full. Then we did not hear from him. From 8/29-9/5 my dad called him 5 times and no answer. I called from my dad s phone on 9/5 and no answer. A minute later I called from MY phone and he answered. He said he could come the following Wed or Thurs. I did not hear from him so I messaged on Thursday and he asked to come Friday and I agreed but told him it could not be pushed any further ( almost a month from first contact) . Then I get a text saying we ow 204 more dollars for travel and service-no mention of this when I talk to him on Monday or any other conversations. This was also not agreed with in the original contract. He told my dad what he and he paid it. There is no mention of travel charges or service charge in any of our conversations or conversations with my dad on top of the fact it was not mentioned when we scheduled him to come on Wednesday then Thursday and Friday. I explained to him that my dad had a already paid for parts and installation and we pay the agreed-upon price. I also asked him for a receipt for the part that he said he had to buy another part. He said my dad agreed to the other part. He texted me a snippet it from my dads message but neglected to include the part where my dad s Venmo account was not working and he agreed to pay cash for the part that he owed money for. The $91 one. But then he got Venmo working and paid off the guy. I told him he probably should not have paid in installation before the guy came out, but he did in good faith. The guy was going to complete this project. The guy refused to provide a receipt to me, and then sent me disturbing messages. Looking into my background texting me a picture of a profile he thought was mine, which wasn t stating that he was going to look into my employment and colleagues looking into a GoFundMe account and accusing me of stealing money from people, then not knowing the full story about me being out of work and trying to raise Triplets that were born at 26 1/2 weeks . He accused me of basically stealing money from people. He then told me that the court public opinion will judge my character indicating that he was going to smear me over social media. I will include in several emails pictures because they will not all fit on one email. I do also have a text from my dad s phone where he said he has no problem with giving refunds.

It was a terrible experience. As noted above, nothing was completed in the 3 months except cutting the broken pipe. He originally needed a payment of $200 for the service fee and for a deposit. Throughout the past couple months, he made countless excuses for not coming out such as weather, family issues, etc. He came out 3 other times spending an exuberant amount of time in the bathroom or in his car to get tools. Sometime during this time frame, he also took the manifold of my hot tub which is priced at around $300 on Amazon. On September 7, he came out and claimed he needed to borrow $200 for parts because he left his wallet at home. I gave him the money and he took all of his tools with him. He said he was going to pay me back the next day. I have called him multiple times and he wont answer. No work has been completed and he owes me $400 total for work never being completed and for the money I lent him.

Worst experience ever contractor showed up 3 hours late then it went down hill from there told us he really didn t need the job and should be sitting on an island somewhere after all his family is well off and hard working farmers which had nothing to do with our service call. My son and I tipped the tub on its side per request by Tim then he sent us a 8 paragraph text on how tubs should not be tipped I guess to cover his own ass , and turns out tub never had to be tipped because repair was thru the rear panel so in all we paid approximately 600.00 for this guy to never come back even though he said all work guaranteed for a year who would know found him on your list and as a customer we were scammed.
Response from Lifeline Spa Repair
"We take customer concerns seriously, but this review does not reflect the facts of what occurred. Our technician accurately identified the source of the leak, which required the tub to be flipped in order to access the damaged manifold. From the start, it was made clear that lifting and lowering the tub is not a service we provide. The customer and his son chose to handle that themselves, against our professional advice on how it should be done. The manifold was replaced correctly, and before leaving both the customer and his son personally inspected the repair with us and confirmed that no leaks were present. The following day, the customer reported a completely separate leak on the opposite side of the tub—unrelated to the work performed. We immediately offered to return the next day, but instead of allowing us to honor our warranty, the customer became increasingly hostile. For safety reasons, we documented all communications and involved local authorities. The repair we performed was successful, and we went out of our way—including returning outside normal hours—to get the job done. While we regret this customer feels dissatisfied, the claim that they were “scammed” is simply untrue. We stand firmly behind our work and our reputation."

We recently moved into a new home and were told the hot tub was working great. Having never owned one before, we didn’t think otherwise, until we filled it for the first time and water leaked everywhere. Completely overwhelmed, we called Lifeline Spa Repair, and Tim came out the very next day. He immediately diagnosed the problem, removing the sides of the tub so we could see where the water was pouring out. There was extensive freeze damage, and both sides needed 12-port manifolds replaced. After doing our own research, we realized Tim’s pricing was not only fair but exceptional. Even better, he completed the full repair the following day. Once the repairs were done, Tim took the time to walk us through how to properly maintain the hot tub with chemicals, which was incredibly helpful for first-time owners. Since then, the tub has been running perfectly. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. Tim was professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sur

I received my brand new hot tub on a Saturday morning and in a rush to get it ready for a party, accidentally put a pin sized hole in the acrylic. I sealed the hole but decided that since the tub was brand new, I wanted a ?professional? to do a long term fix. We used the tub that Saturday/Sunday with no seal related issues. I reached out to Lifeline for repairs on Monday and explained in detail what had happened to Tim over the phone. I told him that I had sealed the hole but since the tub was brand new, I didn?t want to take any chances. Tim scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 12. He talked down the issue and said that after he was done, we wouldn?t even know anything had happened to the hot tub. Tim showed up after 2PM(he did call and said he was going to be late because it had rained that morning?not sure how the weather affected things but I was home all afternoon so I didn?t care about the delay too much.). He was very chatty when he first arrived and I told him that we had also just noticed a small leak on the opposite side of the hot tub that it was going to be taken care of under warranty. He suggested that we could just have the warranty repair tech take care of the acrylic but I told him since we were already paying him to be out there, I?d rather just have him take care of it. At this time he received a phone call and indicated he would call the person back. He then said he had to go to his car for parts. He was gone for 10 minutes and when he came back, his whole attitude changed. He said that he would not work on the hot tub because he didn?t realize it was under warranty (I had told him on Monday that the hot tub was brand new) and working on it could void my warranty. I told him I was willing to risk it and wanted to get the problem fixed. He then got much more aggressive and borderline hostile. He started criticizing the manufacturer, said he?d never seen a new hot tub leak (which is total BS) and told me I should return the tub. He went as far as criticizing me for puncturing the tub and then said he didn?t want to get blamed for the leak on the opposite side of the tub and ?ruin his company?s reputation?. I was shocked not only about the turn of events but more so about the hostility. I?m not sure if the phone call was about a more profitable job or a reason he wanted to get out of here quickly but that trip to the car seemed to be a trigger. I asked him if he was just gonna take the money (the initial $100 they charged for the visit) and run. He told me not to blame him for the mistake I made and went on and on about how the manufacturer had a bad reputation and I should be mad at the seller about the leak (not sure what that had to do with the issue he was there to address). After he left, I started thinking about the exchanges we had after he went to the car. It was all hostile gaslighting. Blame the manufacturer, blame me, etc. No apologetic tone for not wanting to do the work?pure aggression. It was the most unprofessional experiences I?ve ever had with a service company. I would stay away.
Response from Lifeline Spa Repair
"I?d like to state first that I openly suffer from severe PTSD, and over the years I have worked very hard to be at a place of peace. This interaction was so inappropriate that I waited before responding. Immediately afterward, I contacted Angie?s List in shock and embarrassment to report what I considered an attempted assault. I struggled to even get into detail with Angies because what had occurred was so disturbing. This incident should have never happened. We have always and will always treat our customers with respect and professionalism, and we expect the same in return. Erick?s behavior during this situation was very inappropriate, far beyond anything I?ve ever encountered in my career. No one, myself included, who is simply performing the service requested should ever be treated in this manner. While I prefer to move forward positively, the false statements in this review need to be addressed so others have the full and accurate picture. Erick, on the day of your appointment, my arrival was delayed due to a thunderstorm. We communicated the delay in advance. For safety reasons, because water and electricity do not mix. All appointments that day were pushed back two hours. You were treated no differently than any other customer. When I arrived, your very first comment to me was, ?Nice and tall, just how I like them.? From there, your actions and remarks became increasingly inappropriate, crossing clear professional boundaries and creating a situation where I no longer felt safe in your home. I ended the visit immediately, contacted the proper channels, the business owner, and reported the incident. Your review omits these critical facts and misrepresents why the job ended. I will always stop work when a customer?s behavior is inappropriate, and I will always choose safety, dignity, and professional integrity over tolerating harassment."

I called Angis list on or about the 13th of March. I received an immediate call that night form Timothy Didier from Lifetime Spa and Repair. We scheduled an appointment and he was here in about 2 days. It took him about 10 minutes to let me know the heater on the spa was not functional. He said he would look for one and get back to me in a day or two. I paid him $100 for the service call He called me the next day and said he found one for $150. He asked if that price was fine and I said okay. He asked me to send him the money. I normally would have not sent him any money except I trusted the Angis List site and thought they vetted their vendors well. After sending him $150 he said the price was actually $193 and he wanted to extra $43 to purchase it. Against my better judgement I sent it to him. He said he could install it before he went on vacation that next Wednesday. By the time Wednesday came around he said he couldn't be here on time to install it so he would do it after vacation and only charge me $95 for labor. He said he would do it the next week and would tell me what time. I didn't hear from him so I texted him. He couldn't do it the day he got back but said he'd come out on Thursday. Then Thursday there was the excuse that he was talking to his lawyer about a customer that used a stolen credit card to pay him for $3300 and he had to take take of that. He again said he would do it Friday or Saturday at the latest. Friday came about and he said he was stuck in a job in Gurnee. Saturday came about and no call or text from him. I left it along until a day ago and when I texted there was no answer. I tried to call him today and it sounds like I was either blocked or his phone was not on. I would like a refund of all of my money that I paid him which is $293.

"Hi Diana, So happy we were able to get those jets working on your jetted tub! Sometimes they can be bothersome but we understand how nice it is to fill that water up and relax after a long day of work. Even if it is just time to relax and have some time all to yourself! Nothing worse than filling the tub, getting relaxed, hitting the jet button?.. but? no jets!!! Good thing that isn?t something you have to worry about anymore! If anything else comes up (fingers crossed it doesn?t) but if it does, give us a jingle and we will have you relaxing in no time!! Thanks again Diana!!"

I had the pleasure of hiring Tim for a spa repair, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service provided. From the moment he arrived, Tim was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my spa and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I understood the problem and the solution. What truly stood out was his attention to detail and the care he took in ensuring everything was running perfectly. Not only did he fix the issue efficiently, but he also went above and beyond by offering tips on spa maintenance to keep things running smoothly in the future. His work was quick, thorough, and done with the highest level of expertise. It's rare to find someone who is both highly skilled and genuinely pleasant to work with, but Tim delivered on both fronts. I highly recommend his services to anyone in need of spa repairs. I will definitely be calling him again
Response from Lifeline Spa Repair

The fact they came out on a Sunday night alone speaks volumes!

Breaker turned tub off while we were in Fl. It was -5 here. Did not know until we came home and tub off and water was not circulating. Tim came out next day. He drained our tub refilled and found 3 leaks on 3 jets. He fixed them on the spot. All of this was done the same day and he gave me a very generous price. Tub had been working great and leak free. Very happy with his response time, very clear communication, and exceptional service.
Response from Lifeline Spa Repair
"Hi Greg! Thank you so much for this review! We take the urgency of repairs very seriously, especially when delaying in this exact scenario. Not only is the repair important, but taking fast action to avoid potentially more damage is mandatory. Very happy everything worked out so well. As always, I hope to not hear from you in a long time because I never want you to encounter problems! However, when/if any future issues come up, give me a call, and we will take care of you immediately! Thank you again for allowing us to work for you, it was a pleasure meeting you. I am sure you wont allow this review to go up since you only post the 5 star reviews but Tim Didier is threatening and taking advantage of seniors, demanding payment for a job that was not completed, we advised we would pay all that was owed when the job was completed but he is threatening to take us to court over a few hundred dollars when all we asked was for him to fix the leak we hired him to fix and paid a deposit for him to fix then we will release final payment. This is not how to do business. Completely unprofessional behavior.

"This woman is the daughter of a competitor. This is a completely fraudulent review. This isn't the first time she has done this and it is unfortunate, because in this industry there is enough business for multiple companies. Tim at Lifeline Spa Repair was Great!!! He was courteous and polite. He scheduled a quick appointment which was appreciated because my issue was with my hot tub heater working sporadically in the dead of winter. He called when he was on his way as well. When he arrived he quickly identified the problem and when done took the time to explain that the issue was with my pressure sensor and that it simply needed an adjustment and did not need to be replaced (which he could have done and that honesty did not go unnoticed) His pricing for the repair was more than fair which I also appreciated. Bottom line Tim was courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, honest and fair in his pricing for the repair. What more could you ask for in a repair technician!!! I highly recommend Lifeline Spa Repair!!!

Did I mention you are one of the coolest, most down to earth people I have ever met? I wish I could have stayed longer just to chat. I never hope that anything goes wrong with someone?s tub again, but man, I got to get out to you again haha! Seriously, though John, if you need anything at all, I am only a stone throw away.
